This review was a weird one to write because I think even now I’m still not 100% sure where I lie on whether I like the product or not. The Womanizer Starlet Clitoral Stimulator is described as small, lightweight and packing a pleasurable punch. I was really impressed with how the product was presented, I had high standards considering the price and the hype of it so would expect it to look as amazing and it did. It arrived in a plastic box with a see-through lid which displayed the purple product in all its glory. This for me made the product more appealing as it is definitely something that would take my eye if I was to buy this in a shop. I absolutely loved the simplicity of the box. It only showed the product the name and a tag line which made me giggle big time “Your new comer” this made me giggle more then it should of really but I am easily amused so bonus point there!
One thing I would like to make a note of is that there is a plastic sealant around the product is that it has a Hygienic seal. This will show you whether the product has been opened previously which I like if I’m buying something from online, it’s a reassurance I suppose in a way that I would like if I can’t see the standard in person. On the back it states what is in the box this is the product, the USB charge wire and also the manual for the product. Once the seal was opened up and the product out you find a USB for charging the toy and also a really big manual.
I was really surprised at how big the Womanizer Starlet Clitoral Stimulator manual was. It contained the same information in different languages but it was useful information. It talked about how long initial charging would take, how to turn it on etc all the information you needed. Also, the USB wire didn’t come with a plug so I had to provide my own plug to plug the toy in or you could plug it into a computer.
The Womanizer Starlet Clitoral Stimulator is quite small, its measured at just over 8cm and is quite chunky to hold which I liked because I hate having fiddly toys that make it hard to grip. It has a big button on the bottom which pressed down gives you your first level then proceeds onto 4th level with extra button pushes. On the underneath of the toy there is a rubber cover which covers the place to plug in the toy which keeps any juices, dirt whatever out. This toy is water resistant not waterproof so not to be used in the bath which I had to remind myself. The actual part of the toy that provides the stimulation has a rubber part round it. This can be taken off for cleaning which is handy to make sure it gets a good clean after uses.
Actually using the Womanizer Starlet Clitoral Stimulator is the bit I’m still confused about in a way. I’ve used it numerous times and still cant decide if it would be the right toy for me. The instructions state that it fits just over your clitoral area and you turn on which I did but it still took me a few moments to find the right angle and area. Also at first because I wasn’t use to the sensation I found it to be too much on my clit, made me jump and I took it off. So after a few attempts of doing it I finally found the right way of doing it. I did find it didn’t do a lot for me at first but when I was really getting excited and horny I found it did more for me then and brought me to orgasm.
Once I got going then it would bring me to orgasm pretty fast which I did enjoy but I still didn’t find myself fully satisfied because it was just clitoral stimulation and that alone. The toy promotes that it is discreet with a “whisper quiet motor” which I think is absolute rubbish. This has to be one of the loudest toys I have ever used, my partner could hear me using it from the bathroom. So, word of warning don’t use this in the house with other people unless you want them to hear you. Using this by myself seemed complicated when I then tried to introduce my other half to use it too it became even more complicated. Where as I could decide how much pressure to apply, where to put it this was a bit of a struggle for my partner. I found that it was just too awkward in the end for him to use on me. Even during intercourse, it got in the way more then we enjoyed it.
So for me this toy is definitely a toy for me to enjoy by myself. I think one thing that did make me happy about this toy was the fact it is rechargeable. There is nothing worse then running out of batteries in the middle of a bit of me time. It takes 3 hours initially to charge then after that not as long. It flashes red when its charging then goes a solid red when its fully charged so definitely a bonus point there as saves a fortune in batteries.
With this taking up to 3 hours for initial charge it gives out around half hour of use and play which for me is a good time especially as I feel its not a toy you can use consistent like some its definitely one I only use for around 5 minutes maximum a time so you get quite a few turns out of it. I’ve used this now at least 7 or 8 times I would say and its still going strong even from the first charge which is amazing battery use for a toy especially.
Overall, I’m still not sure if I 100% like the Womanizer Starlet Clitoral Stimulator. For ‘me time’ it’s ok, its not the best but it does bring me to orgasm but still leaves me with the feeling of not being satisfied. I would recommend it to someone who would like to try something different with different sensations but definitely not as a couple toy. With regards to the price I do feel it is a little steep for what it is and I don’t think I would personally pay full price for it. I think this toy is definitely Marmite -you are either going to love it or hate it.
