System JO Gelato Crème Brûlée Lube Review

I have a wicked sweet tooth. Who doesn’t love a little chocolate sauce on their ice-cream? This is much my view on flavoured lubes and oral. When the opportunity arose to try some System JO Gelato Crème Brûlée Lube through Pleasure Panel I was thrilled to be chosen.

Don’t get me wrong I love oral sex full stop. I just like to occasionally spice it up using flavoured lube. Different flavours bring about different experiences and an added element to stimulate the senses is a nice change.
The Gelato Range
The System JO Gelato range comes in a dazzling array of mouth-watering dessert based flavours, ranging from the System JO Gelato Crème Brûlée Lube, to Mint Chocolate and Salted Caramel. Yum! This is a great change from the usual fruit based flavours or menthol.
The System JO Gelato lubes come in cute little 30ml bottles with a spill proof flip top lid. The System JO Gelato Crème Brûlée Lube bottle looks stylish and feels like it would look more at home in my kitchen than my lube collection. The bottles are sealed on the inside, I add this just in case like me you spend five minutes wondering why it won’t pour.
Lube Formulation
A quick scan of the bottle tells me that System JO Gelato Crème Brûlée Lube is paraben and propylene glycol free, excellent! This is great news. We know parabens should be avoided in all cosmetics if possible. Propylene glycol can be potentially toxic and cause nasty reactions and irritations. Happy to see this stamp on the bottle I proceed to scan the rest of the ingredients on the back.
The System JO Gelato Crème Brûlée Lube is water based which is great and makes it safe for use with toys and condoms. The second ingredient is glycerine. I’m not massively surprised to see this given the sweet nature of the flavour and it is present in most flavoured lubes. However, glycerine can convert to sugar in the vagina and this can in turn lead to yeast infections. This is by no means universal. Some women can happily use glycerine lubes with no problems and sometimes it can differ even from lube to lube.

Although System JO state Gelato can be used as a penile/vaginal lubricant given the presence of glycerine in the ingredients I would advise caution. If you do suffer with yeast infections or vaginal sensitivity, then it would be wise to use System JO Gelato Crème Brûlée Lube as purely an oral lube. Please do not let this put you off using System Jo Gelato as even just as a flavoured oral lube it is amazing.
How Does It Taste?
Ok so, the taste. System JO have managed to create a lube which smells and tastes exactly like crème brulee. This isn’t a hint of crème brulee, it tastes exactly like I’ve just eaten a delicious caramelised sugar brulee and I’m enjoying the after taste. I can pick out the separate flavour dimensions. Initially the creamy vanilla custard base swirls around your taste buds. It doesn’t taste synthetic and is so sweet it sets my saliva glands alight. As this fades the caramelised back notes begin to surface as if I’ve just broken through the crunchy top of a brulee.
It’s a strong flavour and extremely pleasant scent as well. I began by pouring a little over my partner’s hard cock. Initially I struggled to get the lube to pour and this was slightly jarring to the mood. But with perseverance I managed to squeeze the bottle a little and the clear lube drizzled down his length.
During Use
Smoothing the lube over his cock with my hand felt great. It has the most amazing glide and feel under the hand. Watching him moan as I stroked the velvety lube over him, while the delicious smell of crème brulee permeated the air was very sexy. Once his cock was adequately covered I began to slowly lick the creamy flavoured length and found it ignited my appetite in more ways than one!
Taking him into my mouth I found the System JO Gelato Crème Brûlée Lube has a double impact as an oral lube. It really makes my mouth water. Not only do you get the silky-smooth glide of the lube itself but my goodness it was probably the wettest blow job I’ve ever given! The flavour lasted all the way through the blow job. I was pleased to note there was no sticky feeling left on my hand after stroking him as this is often the case with flavoured lubes.
As a chef, I have a sensitive palette and wasn’t really expecting the System JO Gelato Crème Brûlée Lube to have such a multi layered taste experience but I was wrong. It’s not a flat one dimensional flavour. For me the System JO Gelato Crème Brûlée Lube also bridges a gap in my sexual play. I can’t mix food and sex. Possibly due to my occupation, it totally bothers my food safety side. I just can’t do it. However, this allows me to do so with no worries.
Pouring Difficulties
The lube itself is clear, silky and viscous. It lasts well even with robust oral. I didn’t use tons and didn’t feel a need to reapply at all. My one real complaint about the usage is the difficulty pouring it. The bottle doesn’t really want to squeeze and it doesn’t quite pour out of the flip top. This created a need to kind of flick the bottle a little to get it moving, sort of akin to a ketchup bottle. Not particularly sexy.
I suppose this does stop you from overusing or spilling the product but at the same time I would like a more fluid application experience. It’s a small gripe really for a great product. At under £6 a bottle I love the price of the System JO Gelato Crème Brûlée Lube. It’s very accessible and gives you the opportunity to try a few of the flavours if you fancy it.
In Conclusion
If you’re a fan of oral sex, then I would definitely suggest you give System JO Gelato range a try. I rate this lube an 8/10. I’d have preferred it without the glycerine, though I accept this may have affected the flavour.
