Shed Simove OMG Vibrator Review

As a well-known sex toy tester, I’m regularly asked to review a wide variety of sex toys. Many of them are run-of-the-mill; standard rabbit vibrator, classic vibe, maybe a cock ring or two. When Shed Simove requested a review of his new adult product, the Shed Simove OMG Vibrator, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name alone didn’t give much away. A quick look at the information pack and product images, and I knew this was going to be a very fun sex toy to review.

Packaging & Looks

The Shed Simove OMG Vibrator is bright pink, and I’m talking fuchsia/cerise levels of pink rather than baby or pastel pink. It’s almost neon, and it ties in brilliantly to the comic-esque packaging design bearing the OMG branding. I’m not much of a one for pink, usually, but teamed with black it’s much more appealing to my eye. The packaging ticked the boxes on that score. I love that the G part of OMG on the box is the actual product itself; straight to the point.

Bonus points: the quirky fun inserts and touches from Shed!

First Impressions

To the vibrator, then… what’s it like? What were my first impressions? Well, it’s bright pink and I’m over that. If you’re a pink lover, great. If you’re not… well, it’s not like it’ll be in your field of vision during use.

The shape makes a fantastic G with an acute rounded curve for the vaginally-insertable arm, and finished with the clitorally stimulating oval area at the top of where the removable bullet vibrator is housed.

Box and Instructions

The instructions and information are found on the reverse of the black-fronted slip that is behind the vibrator in the box. The toy is held without moulded plastic designed for it. It’s easy to open and then retrieve the vibrator.

Design

It’s like someone’s taken the design concepts of the rabbit vibrator, and a couples’ c-shaped vibrator, and created a vibrating sex toy which hopes to provide vagina/clitoris owners with the clitoral and G-spot sexual satisfaction that other sex toys could not.

Material & Vibrator

The Shed Simove OMG Vibrator is made with what feels like a great quality silicone material – bonus points for a non-toxic, non-porous body safe material. It was only when I removed the bullet vibrator – in its matching bright pink with a gold cap – that I realised this vibrator is linked to Rocks Off Limited.

There’s no mention of Rocks Off on the packaging or little instruction leaflet inside, however. A major bestseller for Rocks Off sex toys is their RO-80 bullet vibrator, and the Shed Simove OMG Vibrator is powered by a 7-speed version of this incredibly popular little vibe.

Preparing For Use

Being very familiar with the RO-80 bullet vibrators from Rocks Off, from there it was a cinch to prepare myself to use and hopefully enjoy the Shed Simove OMG Vibrator. The cap of the RO-80 bullet vibe is unscrewed to reveal the battery compartment.

It takes one N battery – not the most common battery but I find them in multipacks cheap enough on eBay or Amazon. And at least it’s not those terrible and fiddly watch batteries. Plus, the Shed Simove OMG Vibrator comes with a battery included – win. Just make sure you remove the paper disc then replace the cap, and you’re good to go.

Operation & Settings

To switch on, you just have to press the little silicone pink button on the end of the bullet vibe. Press again repeatedly to discover and scroll through the vibrating settings. Press and hold to switch off.

The 7 settings are:

  • Highest constant vibration
  • Medium constant vibration
  • Lowest constant vibration
  • Long dash pulse
  • Shorter dash pulse
  • Variable dots/dashes pulse
  • Rat-a-tat-tat style pulse

As the Shed Simove OMG Vibrator is 100% waterproof, there’s no worry about where you can use it –bed, bath, shower, beyond- and clean-up is extremely easy.

How The Shed Simove OMG Vibrator Feels

When I first switched the OMG Vibrator on, I wasn’t sure the strength of the vibrations would work for me. I’ve had disappointing experiences in the past with vibrators where the motor is shrouded in silicone, muffling the full strength of the power. However, I am able to climax with the Shed Simove OMG Vibrator, and have done so many times since I started using it.

As the RO-80 bullet vibrator is housed in the upright stem area of the ‘G’, the part meant for clitoral stimulation, this is where I felt the most buzz. Sex toy manufacturers often seem to have strong optimism that vibrations will travel perfectly through solid silicone, even when that silicone is enveloped by the human body. Although silicone does conduct vibrations, only a small amount of vibration can be felt inside me from the internal part – as the vibes have to travel from the bullet vibe all the way round into the tip of the G’s arm, while the toy is being clenched by my vaginal walls.

Despite the minimal vibration felt in the G-spot stimulating, internally worn part, the bulbous tip did feel really good inside. The shape of it was easy to insert – made easier with some water based lubricant, as the curve really is quite acute – and once inside the tip rested against the region of my G-spot. I say rested; I felt the need to hold it in position much of the time during use as the rounded shape of the toy meant I felt it slipping from one side or the other. It simply did not want to stay stimulating my clit and G-spot simultaneously hands-free; the design and vibrations combined made for slipping this way or that without a firm hold on the base.

As usual with me and vibrating sex toys, I preferred and so stuck with the constant vibration settings rather than the pulses – and the top speed of constant at that. As a mains-powered wand vibrator fan I tend to need the highest speed on battery powered sex toys like this – your mileage may vary, of course.

The RO-80 bullet vibrator inside the Shed Simove OMG Vibrator is easy to switch on and off – just locate the little pink silicone button on the end of the vibe and press ‘n hold to switch off. It’s also very easy to clean after use – the Shed Simove OMG Vibrator is fully waterproof anyway, giving you aquatic adventure options, and I like to separate the two parts to wash everything properly after use to make sure it’s completely clean.

As for noise levels, the Shed Simove OMG Vibrator isn’t noisy in the slightest. I regularly used it upstairs in my room with the door shut but no other background noise, with other people in the house downstairs – and I didn’t need to muffle the vibration noise with the aid of a duvet or anything else.

Summary

Shed Simove OMG Vibrator Review

The Shed Simove OMG Vibrator would suit someone looking for a body-safe, waterproof vibrator which offers simultaneous clitoral and G-spot stimulation. There’s no worry about it running out of charge at the wrong moment as it’s battery powered – just make sure you keep a stash in your drawer.

Its design is refreshingly bright with a strong focus on sexual positivity and fun. I love the fact that a G-spot stimulating vibrator is literally shaped like a G, and this facet has been woven into the name – which doubles as the exclamation the creators hope you’ll be repeating several times during use.

For those familiar with the Rocks Off RO-80 Bullet Vibrator, understanding how to use the OMG Vibrator will be automatic. For others, it’s a simple operation which has proven highly effective for thousands in the form of a bullet vibe – why not see if the Shed Simove OMG Vibrator is a perfect fit for you?

As for me, the OMG Vibrator isn’t going to be my favourite sex toy purely because although the OMG can make me orgasm, I enjoy higher power levels than this silicone covered bullet toy can offer. That’s a personal and anatomical preference, however, and it shouldn’t detract from the fact that I think this is an ingenious product which could prove highly effective for many people out there.
