SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator Review

By Pleasure Panel reviewer Luv Bunny

Cara was generous enough to offer up the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator for one of her lucky Patreons on the Pleasure Panel. I was the happy recipient! Thank you so much Cara, for the opportunity to review a product from an up-and-coming sex toy innovator. ?

First Impressions

The box is sturdy cardboard, with clear graphical presentation of the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator on the front of the box. The rear gives brief functional guidelines. They are very minimalistic, stating that the Sense Vibe Warm is ‘heated,’ offers ‘Dual stimulation,’ and ‘wireless charging.’ In addition, it has a ‘Yoga neck,’ and is ‘completely waterproof.’

This and the acclaim of the A’Design Award 2017 Platinum, and reddot award 2017 all sound very promising! I think I’m going to be in for a treat. On opening the box, I am greeted by a flip-out card, which is attached to the inside of the box. The card has a representative image of the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator nestled inside its charging / storage case.

There’s a second graphic image depicting the operational buttons and how to use them. Holding the + and – buttons together for 3 seconds de-activates the travel lock. The central ‘Mode’ button flashes red. The + button switches the Sense Vibe Warm on and continued pressing increases the intensity of whichever vibration mode is selected. There are 12 levels of intensity to select from (see note below*).

Charging

This feature, in my opinion is the best feature, as it means there’s no port to puncture on the silicone, and hence nowhere water or lubricant can enter. A full charge takes about 6 hours. One end of the supplied charging cable is a bit like a mini-HDMI. The other end is a regular USB plug.

Once charged, the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator supposedly lasts for 2.5 hours of playtime. This was not stated on the packaging or minimalist instruction pull-out card. It was found on the www.sensemax.net website.

When the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator is not being used, it can be stored in the charging case, which will protect it from dust and knocks. The white case looks like an electronic games console case, so it is not obvious that a sex toy lies inside. The case has a magnetic soft-close lid.

Using the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator

The SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator has 8 pattern modes, which can be cycled through using the central button.

Pattern 1 is continuous vibrations in both shaft and clitoral ‘arm’. The second pattern is continuous vibrations in the shaft only. The subsequent pattern is continuous vibrations in the clitoral arm only. The fourth pattern is an oscillating wave pulse between the shaft and clitoral arm. This is repeated in the fifth pattern, but more quickly.

Patterns 6 through 8 are variations on pulses between the shaft and clitoral arm, differing in their speed.

SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator Review

The silicone of the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator is velvety soft and has no seams. It does attract fluff, but not excessively. I used water-based lubricant to coat the shaft, and the clitoral arm. The shaft is not particularly wide in circumference, but I enjoy using lubricant, to make the experience more pleasurable.

*According to the user manual on the website, there are 18 speeds. I only found there to be 12 in practice, and I have seen another reviewer say the same as myself. Unless we’re both missing something, the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator doesn’t have all the functionality that is claimed by the manufacturer, SenseMAX.

Nevertheless, the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator offers a wide range of vibration intensities and patterns to play with. Personally, I mainly like the first mode of continuous vibrations in both the shaft and clitoral arm. I also enjoy the fourth pattern of the oscillating wave pulses. The shaft does have flexion, so it can target my G-spot to a moderate degree. However, I feel it is more the rumbling vibrations that stimulate my front wall. At the higher intensities, the internal stimulation can be slightly overwhelming; I feel the urge to pee, but not necessarily the pleasure associated with a G-spot orgasm. Perhaps this is because whilst the internal stimulation is powerful, the external clitoral stimulation is by contrast much weaker as to be somewhat frustrating.

SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator Review

The first time I tried the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator, I still needed to use another external bullet vibe on my clitoris to get anywhere near to orgasm, and for a product in the price-range of the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator, I do not feel this is acceptable. Particularly as it is meant to be a dual stimulator. I wondered if I were just having an ‘off’ day, so I put the Sense Vibe Warm away, and tried it again on two subsequent occasions. Initially I had the similarly, “meh, it’s alright, but not exactly more than £100-worth of ‘Oh-ma-God’ orgasmic capability!”

On the repeat testing, however, I felt I ‘warmed’ to the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator (sorry, I had to include that pun)! It took a bit of effort, and due to the clitoral stimulation being a bit less than what I need, I ended up rubbing over my pubic bone either side of my labia to help massage my way to climactic release. The clitoris is much more than the little piece of external flesh at the top of the vulva and labia, after all! Suffice to say I came pretty hard, and after a brief refractory period, I was able to orgasm a second time. So, my initial assessment of the SenseMAX may have been a little harsh. But perhaps not…

What can I say about the warming function? It’s pleasant enough, but I do not feel it is necessary. There are other versions of the SenseMAX SenseVibe that do not heat up. I presume they function identically otherwise. I feel for a material such as silicone, heating is not strictly necessary, as silicone does not really get cold. Not the way metal, ceramic or glass does. Whilst I love those three materials warmed up, it seems that warm silicone is ‘alright’ but not really anything to write home about.

My experience of heating silicone products is limited to the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator and a rabbit vibrator. In both cases, I can take or leave the function. I did not purchase either product, but the fact they heat would not necessarily have persuaded me to buy them should I not have had the chance to review them. In future, I will not necessarily buy heating silicone toys for this reason.

Maintenance

The SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator can be cleaned with a mild detergent and water, or a wipe. It should not be boiled or placed in the dishwasher. Soap should not be used to clean the toy either, apparently (according to the fold-out card inside the box).

Final Thoughts

SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator Review

As harsh as it sounds, I find the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator to be a bit of a gimmick. The wireless charging is very cool. But it’s not a brand-new invention. Other electrical devices charge wirelessly. The design of the toy itself, is alright, but it is not ‘wow!’ The internal shaft vibrations are rumbly, but the clitoral arm does not match this.

Most users with a vagina will be looking for a dual stimulator that gives effective clitoral stimulation. The SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator does not really deliver in this regard. Holding the clitoral arm against the tip of my nose, it felt more buzzy and tickly rather than rumbly.

For this reason, I rate the SenseMax SenseVibe Warm Heating Vibrator 7/10.
