Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager Review
By Pleasure Panel reviewer StickyWicket
Nexus has produced a range of Nexus Revo Prostate Massagers which are fairly unique as they have a rotating head. The Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager from this range is a little smaller than its larger counterpart the Stealth, measuring in at around 3.75” insertable length and a similar girth.
In the box comes the Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager itself, a remote control, a charging cable (with USB connector, you have to supply the power source – I had an old mobile phone charging plug with a USB socket on it lying around). You also get a handy bag and instructions. It’s definitely worth reading the instructions as the controls need to be figured out, but this only takes a couple of minutes to get used to.
The material of the Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager is soft silicone which is pliable and easy to clean. There’s a spot that sits against your perineum with soft nodules lined against it. The nodules are designed to be stimulating but not too much as this area can get really sore very quickly if you’re not careful, and smaller nodules makes it easier to keep clean.
The Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager was already charged when I took it out of the box so no waiting around. Nexus suggest this is a toy aimed at beginners. Their instruction book helpfully suggests using the toilet before using their toy, but I’ll be a little more detailed – you need a poo at least 30 minutes before using the toy to get the best benefit out of it. If possible, douche first. No-one likes the dirty end of a fun session, and these small steps really will help you get the best sensation too.
I’m definitely not new to anal toys, having experienced a range of prostate massagers and plugs before. I always treat each toy as if it’s the first though, so nice and relaxed, taking time, lots of lube. The Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager isn’t the easiest prostate massager to insert as the head is a little larger than your average prostate massagers since it has a rotating motor in there. Patience is a virtue.
Once in, the Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager creates an absolutely wonderful curve to your arse. I mean this is the most well designed bum toy I’ve ever seen aesthetically, it just looks good when inserted. This really took me back as I never thought I’d be so pleased with the look of an anal toy.
Turning on the Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager is pretty simple – you hold the power button for about a second and the light comes on in green. You’re now ready for action. You can decide to use one button to start the rotation – which is slow one way, fast one way, slow the other way, fast the other way, then off. You can mix this up with vibrating the base too which has various intensities and speeds.
The internal rotation is quiet and very discreet. The base vibration was nosier than I expected – not massively noisy but if you’re trying to be quiet as a mouse with house guests they’d probably hear it.
So I’m lying back, thinking of England, seeing how the Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager feels. I had big hopes for this toy, and it is a premium toy with a premium price tag. Honestly? I have had more prostate stimulation from toys that cost under £10 and didn’t do any of the features the Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager can do. It rotates internally, sure; but perhaps the curvature just wasn’t there for me or something else I don’t know. I tried different positions over different days, it was nudging my p-spot but not in the delicious mind blowing way I was so desperate to experience from Nexus sex toys having had such a great experience with their Progasm range for example.
There is a reasonable rotation on the Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager but you have to get the positioning really right for the rotation to be most effective – otherwise the base can wriggle around your bum hole and not give pleasure as fully to the designed area.
I considered how the Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager would feel for a beginner, and honestly I don’t think this is a good beginner’s toy for anal play. It’s very easy to go overkill on prostate massage then feel very sore the next day whilst you’re trying to get fun going. It’s also easy to start on a difficult toy then give up (and possibly never try again) so I think anyone who’s thinking about a starter toy would be better off looking at something like an Aneros Progasm.
I’d love to try Nexus’ bigger rotating prostate massagers like the Nexus Stealth to see how that compares (if you’re up for it Nexus get in touch via Cara I’m sure we could arrange another review?), but for me the Nexus Revo Slim Prostate Massager just didn’t deliver the massive O I was hoping for. It is still an amazing design though and I’m still blown away how good it looks, it also has a remote for couple play too which is fun too so I have to factor all this in when giving a score.
Taking all the pro and con points weighing it up, it has to be a 7/10 and I’m looking forward to trying other things from the Nexus range. Thanks for letting me provide a review!
