Packaging & What’s Included
As with all the Nexus items that I have seen and reviewed so far, the packaging is clean and stylish. The packaging for this particular set consisted of a matte cardboard box with a clear plastic window showcasing the three plugs inside, simple yet oh so effective as these plugs are so fancy they are more than capable of selling themselves!
The text on the front of the Nexus G-Play Plus Trio Rechargeable Unisex Massager Set packaging is minimal; a brand logo in a contrasting metallic foil is present in the corner along with the model ‘G Play + Trio’, the simplified key features are also listed on the front of the box along with a quirky ‘Touch Me’ super soft silicone pad which I thought was a fantastic interactive thought. The back of the box is also kept fairly simplistic with a brief run down of the features this set provides – 6 stimulation settings, anatomically contoured, luxury (brushed) silicone, odourless and phthalates-free, rechargeable and waterproof, what more could you need?
The contents of the Nexus G-Play Plus Trio Rechargeable Unisex Massager Set box are the three plugs you can see through the packaging, a charging lead and an instruction book.
Overall look and ‘feel’ of the set
What I found most striking about the Nexus G-Play Plus Trio Rechargeable Unisex Massager Set is the overall small scale, the set appears bigger in the images that I had seen online so I was surprised to see the smallest plug was tiny, much smaller than any beginners plug that I have come across before. The three plugs increase in size gradually with the smallest length being 6cm working up to the largest coming in at 8cm long.
I really like the shape of this set, bulbous tip, full body and a nipped in neck leading to a comfortable base, each step up in size is an identical scaled up version of the same design, one that clearly works well as it is implemented across many of the Nexus anal toys.
The colours used in this set are appealing and bright, coupled with the brushed silicone the look is incredibly luxurious and the plugs feel great! Seriously smooth and soft.
The plug is operated by the single button on the bottom of the base, there is also a small charging hole located on this plate too, in my opinion the bottom plates let the overall luxurious look down a little they have a tacky plastic feel to them and could be simply upgraded to be in with the keeping of the rest of the plug.
Each plug offers a range of 6 vibration settings, not over the top however plenty of options to keep you going.
Using the Nexus G-Play Plus Trio Rechargeable Unisex Massager Set
After recent success playing with another toy from the Nexus brand, I was excited to give this set a go, although this set is mostly aimed at anal use I had read on their website it can also be used vaginally too.
I began with the middle plug from the set, lubed up and after a try from a few different angles it glided in. The texture of the plug is notable, although feeling incredibly soft to the touch of fingertips, I wasn’t sure whether that would be picked up on my most intimate parts however it most definitely was.
Flicking through the settings it is apparent just how strong the vibrations from these little toys are, I have found rechargeable toys to have a shallow and superficial vibration in the past however there is no such thing here! The vibrations feel deep and as the plugs are anatomically designed after a while you forget the plug is even there, especially when focusing on the vibrations.
After having the middle plug inserted the larger one slips straight in with no discomfort, only slightly larger however reaffirms the presence of having something ‘there’ after getting used to the step down.
Cleaning afterwards is made easy through the removable silicone sleeve, a thorough wash both externally and internally with soapy water followed by a dry and spray with toy cleaner sees them good to go again the next time around. It is worth mentioning the silicone sleeves could be used alone (without the vibration pack) as finger toys or softer versions.
Charging is made simple by following the instructions clearly stated in the instruction book provided, I usually plug my set into my laptop for a charge after use so they are ready to go the next time I get them out. The charge in the batteries seems to hold well and certainly doesn’t come short of an hour play time.
Conclusion
A great set of plugs for those exploring the smaller end of play. The Nexus G-Play Plus Trio Rechargeable Unisex Massager Set offers versatile and reliable toys coupled with great sensations. I would like to see a little more attention to detail on the base plates as this lets the look down although doesn’t affect performance. A very reasonable price for a set of three rechargeable toys too!
