Loving Joy Versa Vibrator (Multi-Purpose Flexible Vibrator) Review

By NatandTom

When I spotted the Loving Joy Versa Vibrator (from Loving Joy) in June’s Pleasure Panel listing I was instantly intrigued. It reminded me of the Mystery Vibe Crescendo, which is a toy with a concept that I love, so I was excited to see another toy with a similar thought process. I had a few issues with the Crescendo such as the irritating charging system, button placement and lack of strength in the vibrations so I hoped that the Loving Joy Versa Vibrator would solve some of these problems with its more stripped back, affordable style.

Packaging

The Loving Joy Versa Vibrator arrived packaged in a simple white and pink cardboard box with a picture of the Versa on the front, some key features highlighted on the sides and a short product description on the back. Inside the box I found the Versa laying within a plastic tray alongside the charging cable and user manual. It doesn’t include any sort of storage, which I did partly expect as this isn’t a top of the range, super luxurious product, but I would have appreciated a satin pouch anyway.

Charging Up

As the Loving Joy Versa Vibrator arrived without any battery life I set it up for a full charge before I did anything else. This is done by plugging the USB into your chosen port and attaching the magnetic clip to the magnetic point on the back of the vibrator. The lights on the control panel will flash red once the charge has been initiated.

The manual recommends leaving it to charge for at least two hours on the first use, so I added an extra thirty minutes, but each further charge should just take the two hours. It claims to provide up to the same amount of time of use although this seems to be dependent on the settings used.

Details

The Loving Joy Versa Vibrator is made from 100% silicone so is of course body-safe, free from phthalates, odourless and all of that good stuff. I was pleasantly surprised by the feel of the silicone as it is silky smooth with a luxurious finish and doesn’t have anywhere near as much drag as I expected. It’s also seamless, which is an added bonus as there’s less cleaning to do!

The manual advises using water-based lubricants only and I’d suggest a good coating of your favourite for any sort of internal play as toy is rather firm and lube will make it feel more inviting. After use, you can rinse it with soapy water and leave to dry for next time. Alternatively, you can use a 10% bleach solution if you are sharing this with a partner and prefer a deeper clean.

Operation

The control panel is really easy to understand. There’s only two buttons. One is a power button that turns the toy on and off. It needs to be pressed and held down for around three seconds to do the action. The other button is for changing through the various modes. A plus and minus button would have been nice so I could change through the settings without having to scroll back through all ten to find the one I want, but the Loving Joy Versa Vibrator is rather slimline so I think that would have made the panel cramped and ruined the aesthetics.

Settings

There are ten settings to choose from with the Loving Joy Versa Vibrator. There are four intensities of constant vibration and six patterns. I’m not fond of patterns on most vibrators and this one was no different although there was one that I didn’t totally despise. It’s a rollercoaster type of pulsation that doesn’t irritate me and I could see myself using it occasionally.

The four intensities were good, starting with a low distant rumble and becoming buzzy as the settings intensified. The strength behind those buzzes was just what I had wanted from the Crescendo but hadn’t got. It definitely beats its predecessor in the power department for me.

During Use – Unflexed

Loving Joy Versa Vibrator (Multi-Purpose Flexible Vibrator) Review

So, what can you do with a flexible vibrator like the Loving Joy Versa Vibrator? Well, I started off by not flexing it at all. I decided to use it as a clitoral stimulator first and keep it in the straight positioning it had arrived in. It has a rounded tip so is not as precise as I’d usually reach for in a clitoral stimulator, but I found that it worked well at stimulating the clitoral hood as well as the clitoris itself. I could only use it on the lower two intensities despite being a power queen as it becomes too buzzy for my personal preferences after that.

C Shaped Vibes

I then decided to bend the Loving Joy Versa Vibrator into a c shape so I could use it for joint clitoral and vaginal stimulation. I feel like this shape is great for me and generally hits all the right spots. This toy has a bulbous head despite it not being so girthy (maximum is just over three and half inches) and a lot of firmness so it pushes up against the G-spot beautifully. It could definitely get the job done in this position if I could use the higher vibration intensities. I had to stick to the first two again as I was also receiving external stimulation and didn’t want to end up with a numb clitoris.

When the Loving Joy Versa Vibrator is shaped like this it can be used in the same way as one of We-Vibe’s couples vibrators and be inserted at the same time as a partner. It didn’t get in the way at all because it’s slim and doesn’t have a ton of length (it has seven inches overall and around five insertable which is halved when bent this way). The vibrator also has one another possibility in this shape and that is penis stimulation. It can be placed and bent around the head of the penis to add a gratifying finish to his solo session. My partner doesn’t mind buzzy vibrations or patterns so can make use of all the settings and have a great time. He said that it felt great for him although he preferred the Crescendo for this as it has more length which accommodated his size better.

G-Spot Angling

Loving Joy Versa Vibrator (Multi-Purpose Flexible Vibrator) Review

I did find one position that worked better than the others and that was just bending the head of the Loving Joy Versa Vibrator into an upwards curve and keeping the rest of the shaft straight. This makes the perfect G-spot toy and works great when thrusting in and out. It hits all the right places, as it does with the c-shape formation, but as there was no external stimulation going on and I don’t mind buzzing internally, I could blast the intensity up to fourth and ride out those waves until I hit a climax.

Noise wise, it’s fairly quiet. I still live at home and have had no problems using this when others have been in the next room. A closed bedroom door is more than enough to drown out any noise that it makes although it does get slightly louder when the patterns are being used so some background noise may be needed for those.

In Conclusion

Overall, I was really pleased with the Loving Joy Versa Vibrator. It has all the flexibility that I could possibly want and the options for positioning it are endless, so I’m sure I’ll have plenty of fun exploring other options over the coming months.

I feel that the Loving Joy Versa Vibrator may be better than the current version of the Mystery Vibe Crescendo because it is much stronger, although it isn’t as luxurious, doesn’t come with any storage, doesn’t have up/down/intensity buttons and offers less motors. I feel that Loving Joy have taken the idea behind the Crescendo and combined it with a lot of feedback regarding the lack of strength from the original and decided to make their own version with better power. If you don’t want to wait and see if the new version of the Crescendo is better or don’t want to splash the cash on one, then this is a great, affordable alternative.

7/10
