Loving Joy Bound to Please Silicone Riding Crop Review

By Lorah13

Many thanks to Cara Sutra for sending me this Loving Joy Bound to Please Silicone Riding Crop from Loving Joy. I’m no stranger to crops, in fact a crop was my first foray into impact play with implements so I’ve always had a thing for them. However, I have never, to my shame, had a silicone crop before. I’d looked, I’d lusted but I’d never actually bit the bullet and bought one so I was ecstatic when Cara selected me to review this one for the Pleasure Panel.

The packaging this Loving Joy Bound to Please Silicone Riding Crop arrived in was very plain and simple being just a clear plastic wrap. It matches the price point in my opinion so I wasn’t expecting anything fancy. The quality of the crop inside though is top notch.

Having used a silicone paddle before I had in my head that a silicone crop would be really painful as silicone paddles are not to be laughed at, however, I found that although stingy it was really manageable. It’s a very lightweight crop and quite short at 40.5cm long. The tip of the crop is also quite large for a crop at 5.5cm long and 5cm wide at widest point, which also would explain why it’s not as painful as some. The smaller the tip the sharper the sting. The tip is made of a length of silicone that has been doubled over and sealed to the shaft, I’ve tested the seal by really trying to pull it off but it’s not going anywhere.

The shaft of the Loving Joy Bound to Please Silicone Riding Crop is made of smooth plastic and is 31cm long in total. It’s slightly flexible but not a lot, I definitely have more flexible crops in my collection. There is a teeny tiny silicone grip at the tip of the shaft which measures just over 4.5cm long so whilst it couldn’t be classed as a handle as it’s not big enough it does help to enhance grip as the plastic shaft can become quite slippy.

At the very tip of the shaft is an extremely tiny loop which could be used for hanging if you leave the chain which the label came attached to on. Personally I keep all my hitty things in a drawer so I took it off but the option would still be there to attach my own piece of string if it ever became necessary to hang it up or if I ever wanted a wrist loop to avoid any accidents of it flying out of my husbands hand, although honestly I don’t think he’d ever be swinging it that vigorously.

The materials of this Loving Joy Bound to Please Silicone Riding Crop make it really easy to wipe down and clean and to even sanitise the tip, the only thing with silicone is that it tends to attract a lot of lint unfortunately. The silicone used in crop is really silky smooth and any edges and joins are super neat and well finished. The tip is also fully flexible which also makes for a really nice sensation when run over the skin.

Loving Joy Bound to Please Silicone Riding Crop Review

As I’ve said before I love a crop and this one is no exception. The swishing sound as it slices through the air really turns me on as do the red splodges left behind on my skin. Each spank provides a sharp but short lived sting and I love it. It’s not an overly harsh implement and I feel it would be perfect for beginners, it would make a wonderful first crop.  The Loving Joy Bound to Please Silicone Riding Crop would also be an excellent addition to a more advanced enthusiast, I definitely recommend it.
