I first saw the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator on Petra Pan’s Twitter and it grabbed my attention straight away. So, when I was assigned it in the last Pleasure Panel round I was excited to try it.

The Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator arrived packaged on a black card covered in constellation patterns. This is very in keeping with the theme and showcases the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator in the middle of the card nicely. It’s no frills packaging for a no-frills vibe, this isn’t a criticism. Not everything needs bells and whistles.
Opening the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator I was impressed with the design straight away. The same things which had attracted me to it on Petra’s time line were even more obvious in my hand.
Unusually for me the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator is dark in colour, predominately black. This is covered with deep purple and blue swirling galaxies and interspersed with tiny white stars. It’s very pretty.
Printed up the shaft of the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator is the phrase “I only fuck with magic” in a swirly silver font. I love this. We all need a little magic in our lives and what better way to interject this than in our sex lives. Lovehoney, I’m feeling you here.
In shape, the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator is basic. It’s a retro style vibrator, with a make-over. This style of vibe was the kind my mum had. Only not as pretty. A simple, straight shaft leads to a tapered tip.
The Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator is battery operated. Both the controls and battery compartment sit at the base of the shaft. The bottom of the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator unscrews to reveal a rather considerable battery compartment.
The Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator takes 2 C batteries, and these aren’t included. So, maybe consider ordering them with your vibe. Unless you happen to have a kitchen drawer full of batteries (like me lol).
A dial at the very bottom of the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator allows you to control the level of vibration. There is only one setting, which is a constant vibration but there is a marked difference between the bottom speed and top one.
The twisty control allows you to increase the intensity gradually and at your own pace. Sometimes the jump between one setting and another can almost be jarring on a button control vibe. There is no need for instructions the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator is completely self-explanatory.
In size the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator is chunkier than I expected. Measuring approximately 8 inches in length and just over 4 inches around it’s a nice size. The shaft is completely straight so for me this isn’t a G Spot compatible vibe but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t feel great inside me. That larger shaft gives a nice full feeling.
The Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator is made of ABS, but it does feel very soft, in fact at first, I wasn’t sure if it was a silicone or not. Being ABS, the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator is body safe, non-porous and can be used with any lube safely. Hooray!
The vibration on the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator isn’t bad at all for a battery powered vibe. It has quite a deep rumbly feel to it, and at the top setting is quite strong. Ok, it’s not going to compare to a Doxy or Tango but for £17 it’s not meant to. I was impressed. Had I paid for the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator I certainly wouldn’t have been disappointed with the vibrations.
Another thing I notice straight away is how quiet this vibrator is. Despite the depth of the vibration there is very little noise even at top speed. I don’t even need to put a telly on, my duvet is more than enough to muffle the sound of my play. As a mum of two easily embarrassed teens this is a big tick in the yes box for me.
So, what was the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator like to use? If I’m honest I’m not a fan of this retro shape in vibrators. Usually it doesn’t do much for me, but the size of the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator does make a difference.
Sliding the tapered tip inside me did feel lush, the large shaft opening and filling me up. Thrusting the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator is easy work, but being ABS there is no friction at all, meaning I struggle to get any purchase. I found for me the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator comes into its own as a clitoral stimulator.
The nicely tapered tip snuggles alongside my clit perfectly. Gradually working through the intensities I’m surprised how good the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator feels. The vibrations are deep enough to really wake my clit up quickly. They don’t feel buzzy and itchy, which if I’m honest is what I was expecting.
The silky ABS surface rubs against my clit nicely as I increase the vibrations gradually. For me to reach orgasm I needed the dial at top speed but the journey there is one that’s certainly worth making. My orgasm is surprisingly strong when it happens. It took a little longer than with some toys but didn’t feel frustrating getting there.
One thing I did dislike about this vibe was how much the vibration travelled into my hands during use. I was left with the dreaded finger tingle within a few minutes of using the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator. I know this is due to the strength of the vibration, but it is quite annoying.

I would give the Lovehoney Positive Vibes Galaxy Classic Vibrator 7/10 it’s not exactly magical, but it does deliver a good orgasm.
