The Lovehoney Plus Size Vampire Vixen Costume Bundle was a total surprise seeing as the October Round of Pleasure Panel had not dropped yet, but when Cara put out the call for Halloween lingerie reviews I jumped at the opportunity. Besides the fact that the Vampire Vixen Costume is totally sexy, I am actually planning to be a vampire for Halloween so this was a total score!

I have a lot of experience with Lovehoney lingerie, I would say that almost all my lingerie is Lovehoney, and not only are the pieces comfortable, but they usually fit pretty true to size. The Lovehoney Plus Size Vampire Vixen Costume Bundle was no different; I knew that the sizing was plus, but realistically any of these bodycon mini dresses are all super stretchy and form-fitting. If anything going a little bit larger with plus sizing probably just prevents me from accidentally tearing it in some stupid accident or through my clumsiness.
This costume set comes with a mini lace dress that is beyond comfortable, and totally flattering. You can partner this dress with a high collared mini cape that takes this sexy dress from your typical lacy little black dress to a blood-sucking temptress. The material of the dress is just listed simply as “lace”, but I would guess it is a spandex-polyester blend that guaranteed to hug every curve while the black hides your “flaws”.
I could not wait to put this dress on, and the moment I did I felt sexier than I have in anything else I have owned. The simplicity of the Lovehoney Plus Size Vampire Vixen Costume Bundle surprised me and accented to the top of the list for go to lingerie looks. I took some initial bathroom mirror photos and even with my messy bun and glasses I looked like a vixen.
The following night I planned my look, even attempting to put in vampire teeth; I tried everything and I could not get them to say, I even learned denture glue is torturous. So I settled for a dark smoky eye, accompanied by a blood red lip. My green eyes glowing through all the black shading; I took one look in the mirror and felt my transformation take place, even though my reflection was still there. Once I had the costume on and my latex thigh highs zipped I felt confident enough to face the sunlight of the new day!
I noticed when taking photos and strutting around my room that the dress rides up, which may be perfect for some occasions, but I would prefer to have something that stays in place unless I move it myself. While the collar really only works if you have an updo; the satin material of the cape causes it to slide from shoulder to shoulder so after while I took it off, I felt my vampiress attitude was beaming through every photo so I could spare the loss of a prop. As for the underwear this mini dress comes with, do not waste your time. I feel like this one size fits most g strings are actually trash; this was no different. It was very awkward and either sagged or I had to pull it halfway up my back. This is all totally minor stuff though and does not dismiss how great the Lovehoney Plus Size Vampire Vixen Costume Bundle is!
I cannot stress enough how sexy and confident I felt in this dress! Throughout my photoshoot, I could not stop pausing to look at the photos, I just felt like I could embody this sexy temptress attitude I always strive for but miss. Maybe it is because I LOVE Halloween, and the costumes are what drive my holiday bloodlust, but I really felt not only with this look, but another Lovehoney lingerie piece that I could take sexy dress up to the next level. Maybe there is a little magic in each look, or the fall air is getting to me.
Either way, I would surely recommend this to anyone, the dress is simple enough you can really add on any accessory you would like year round. The lace design turns your figure into a curvaceous work of art, and there is something sexy about long sleeves with exposed shoulders; I love my collar bones so for me this accentuates a looked over erogenous zone.
The Lovehoney Plus Size Vampire Vixen Costume Bundle is really a year-round costume, so I would give this a 10/10. Which I almost never give a perfect rating, but the Vampire Vixen Costume set deserves it. You can find this look with some other equally sexy outfits at Lovehoney. I would recommend catching them before Halloween if you have been at a loss of what to do or be this holiday! Even after Halloween has come and gone, if the costume is not already inexpensive and sexy enough, it will surely be sexier when it is on sale!
