The Lovehoney Desire collection looks incredibly luxurious and is presented sumptuously, with alluring included extras such as great quality storage cases. The Desire toys are offered in deep purple or black silicone, and there’s a couple of stainless steel dildos too. All in all, this is a very attractive sex toy range and I am pleased to own a couple of items from it.

Today I’m reviewing the Lovehoney Desire Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator from the collection and I was extremely interested in how it would perform. The shape is very similar to the LELO Lily and Nea vibrators, but bigger. I was hoping bigger was better; with even more power if possible.
Packaging
The Lovehoney Desire Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator comes in the usual discreet outer packaging (plain brown wrap, no sign there’s sex toys in your parcel!). The vibrator is presented in a box with a sleek and elegant design; it’s along the same lines and recognisable as being part of the Lovehoney Desire sex toys range.
The box gives you a graphic of the product, the name, and some information about the material & specs.
Inside The Box
Most impressively, you first pull out a Lovehoney-heart-branded hard-shell zip up storage case. This case can also be locked – the zips overlap with a ring through which you could use a small/travel padlock. Padlock isn’t included but they’re easy to source.
You don’t often get sex toy storage with clitoral vibrators, and such great quality storage as this zip up case is extremely rare, besides. It’s a fantastic bonus of the Desire range.
Inside the case, which has mesh pockets to help hold all your accessories, you find the Lovehoney Desire Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator in disposable plastic moulding, the USB charging lead and the instruction manual.

First Impressions
The purple silicone material of the Lovehoney Desire Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator feels silky soft, and although it attracts one or two flecks of dust when left on the side, It’s not an absolute hair and lint magnet either. It’s a very smooth feeling silicone, rather than clammy.
In my hand the Lovehoney Desire Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator felt great; the curve fit my palm comfortably and felt like a natural extension. On the back of the vibrator the black metallic plastic area helped me keep an easy grip on the toy, and the indented button area on the front was easy to locate with my fingers.
Charging Up
Charging the Desire clit vibe is really easy. Just push the jackpin end of the included lead into the hole for it at the base of the toy, then the other end into any USB port. I like to use either my USB to mains adaptor plug by the bed or the USB ports on my desktop PC.
While charging, an LED blinks behind the button panel on the vibrator. When it’s charged it emits a steady glow. First charge takes 90 minutes which is said to provide up to 60 minutes of playtime.
Operation & Settings
There are three buttons on the front of the vibrator: plus and minus symbols in between which is a double circle button.
To switch the Lovehoney Desire Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator on, you need to press the + button for a second or two. It then bursts into life on the lowest constant vibration setting. Keep pressing to scroll up the vibration speed, and press the – button to decrease/keep holding to switch off.
The box tells me there’s 12 speeds but I could only differentiate between 5 different increments of vibrating intensity in the constant vibration setting.
The double circle button in the middle lets you change the vibrating pattern, so from the constant vibration when you switch the vibrator on, you can then access 7 other settings:
- Pulse
- Faster pulse
- Fastest pulse
- Ascending pulse
- Oscillating pulse
- Faster oscillating pulse
- Variable pulse
I’m not into patterns and pulses in my vibrators so I kept with the constant vibration.
How It Feels
The Desire Clitoral Vibrator was enjoyable to use, although it took a bit of effort to reach orgasm with it. This is a personal thing, not a fault of the vibrator. I simply like my vibrating sex toys to be more powerful and more rumbly.
Although the top vibrating speed can bring me to a clitoral orgasm, it takes me much longer than with my favourite vibrators. As a power Queen I absolutely loved the Lovehoney Desire Deluxe Rechargeable Magic Wand Vibrator; it’s powerful and rumbly and gets me there so fast. The Lovehoney Desire Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator gives powerful enough vibration on the highest speed, for me, but the type of vibration isn’t my favourite either. It’s a little more buzzy than I would have liked, and I didn’t feel it travelled right into the tip of the curved silicone toy as well as I expected it to.
Using the Lovehoney Desire Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator with water-based lube helped me to feel more sensation from the vibes and avoided any discomfort as well. It performs with water-based lube really well – it doesn’t act like a sponge for lube, and I didn’t have any need to reapply mid-session.
Clean-Up
As the Lovehoney Desire Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator is fully waterproof, it’s easy to clean between uses. I like to submerge and clean in a bowl of warm soapy water, towel off, then spray with an anti-bac spray and leave to dry.
Summary
If you’re not a Power Queen and wand vibrator addict like I am, the chances are you’ll love the Lovehoney Desire Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator. If you don’t absolutely require jackhammer levels of power, and don’t mind your vibrations a little higher frequency, then this could be the perfect clitoral vibrator for you.
It’s waterproof, it performs well with lube, it’s easy to use, it’s quiet during use and it’s rechargeable. It’s not going to be my favourite sex toy but that doesn’t write it off as a fail by any means. I absolutely love the storage case for this vibrator – the fact it is a zip up hard shell with lockable options makes it even more worth the price, in my opinion. The colour is a beautiful deep purple and the silicone feels lush.
A great vibrator for a clitoral vibration fan looking for low/medium through to usual ‘cordless high’ vibrations in a toy, as well as a discreet clit vibe which is easy to use, charge and store.
