This BASICS love ring is made from a ‘skin safe rubber’ material but feels like a thick, non sticky jelly substance which is soft, stretchy and easily manipulated over the shaft of a toy or partner. The cock ring did try to roll but the thumb sized battery head holding that creates the vibrations stopped that, because of this it did slightly pinch or pull the skin.
The cock ring itself has two quite thick rings, one for the shaft and one for around the balls each having nobbly bits for extra sensation. This Lovehoney BASICS Vibrating Twin Cock Ring is single use, or a couple short uses with the same partner. The website says it lasts about 25 minutes; I only used it a couple of short bursts each about 5 minutes long and the vibrations stayed strong each use.
Since the battery only lasts a short time I applied lube with the battery off. The switch is a simple flick down switch which can be tricky if you’re in the throes of passion as it’s a down action for on and an up action for off. I found using my nail it was easier to maneuver the little switch. I later found that the whole vibrating head came out of the cock ring and can be swapped round to your preferred side or swapped to a favourite little bullet after this battery vibe finishes.
The power of that tiny battery in the head was incredible, making us both jump and laugh. It created such a strong buzz that had us both enjoying the sensation… that said, it may be a bit much for first-timers or people who are extremely sensitive.
I enjoyed the extra multiple bumps on the vibrating mechanism itself. I did find it needed lube; I used a water based lube and the cock ring head did not need any reapplication. The material of the Lovehoney BASICS Vibrating Twin Cock Ring became lovely and slick and stayed lubricated.
I found that the cock ring material attracted dust and fluff quickly, as soon as it was out of the packaging. A light soap or sex toy cleaner before and after use sorted this. I removed the vibe head from the Lovehoney BASICS Vibrating Twin Cock Ring to fully clean.
I also found that this BASICS love ring can be used with the vibe area at the top for sensation on the clit, or under the balls for another teasing sensation. The rings supported the balls but did feel tight; the vibrations travelled through the whole of the flexible rings. The rings held the hardness for some time afterwards, so the fun can carry on.
Overall this Lovehoney BASICS Vibrating Twin Cock Ring priced at just £7.99 was a lot of fun, brilliantly amazingly powerful vibe and versatile. The cons are that the material collects any dust nearby and I do not believe it’s waterproof.
