LELO Ina Wave Vibrator Review by Cara Sutra

Before I experienced ‘the Wave’ and completed my LELO MONA Wave review, I didn’t really understand what the big deal was with the ‘Wave’ versions of these best-selling styles of LELO sex toys. The shapes look just like the originals but as I discovered with LELO MONA Wave, there’s a new function which completely changes the toy.

As well as the beckoning finger of G-Spot bliss, the LELO MONA and the LELO INA Wave vibrator have slightly different controls. There’s a central concave button to switch on and off, while + and – and ^ and V buttons around this centre allow you to increase or decrease the vibration intensity or explore different patterns.

LELO INA Wave Vibrator comes in the usual LELO packaging; instantly recognisable as LELO and with all the added extras. In the box I received:

  • LELO INA Wave Vibrator (in cerise, also available in plum or blue)
  • Storage pouch
  • Sachet of LELO waterbased lube (personal moisturiser)
  • Mains charging lead
  • Instruction manual
  • Warranty registration card
  • Details of the LELO guarantees

As you can see there’s no USB charging lead with the LELO INA Wave Vibrator which was a bit disappointing, I like to charge my toys directly from my PC, or laptop while I’m away from home. It would also give me the versatility of charging it through a USB to mains adaptor plug if I wished. I do understand that it probably impacts on the cost with mains chargers possibly cheaper to manufacture than USB leads – but a person will be paying over £100 for this item so a more modern, versatile option would be preferable.

The LELO INA Wave Vibrator is waterproof (yes, even despite the open looking charging port) and has a silicone covered body which warms to body temperature quickly during use, as well as an ABS plastic handle with silicone buttons.

Using the LELO INA Wave Vibrator was like having the epiphany of the century. I really didn’t expect to be so surprised, shocked even, after using what I had pretty much written off as a slightly upgraded LELO INA 2 rabbit vibrator. As you may know, I’m not much of a rabbit vibrator fan in any case, although the smooth, rechargeable and powerful options now available are slowly bringing me round. Don’t do what I did and relegate this to the rabbit vibrator categories of sex toys. This is *so* much more than that.

It’s a G-Spot thrilling pleasure machine.

It’s a sex robot’s finger programmed to deliver G-Spot, vaginal and clitoral stimulation in a dramatic fusion of sheet-clenching ecstasy.

It’s the epitome of a modern technological sex spectacle.

You get the idea.

Not having had a G-Spot orgasm in a long time – longer than I’d care to admit – I’ve been mostly focusing on clitoral stimulation during my masturbation sessions, and during sex and foreplay with partners. Doxy Wand, bullet vibrators, that kinda thing. My very first time using the LELO INA Wave Vibrator I sat bolt upright straight after (I’d used it lying down) and said, aloud, “Oh my fucking god”. That’s how good it is. Since then it’s been within reach of the bedside at all times and even took it with me on a recent trip to London. Not only to use during my time away but as an example of a sex toy which really works.

LELO have had many winning designs of sex toys but also some fails – the original LELO ORA didn’t work for me at all and I was so disappointed. It’s both a delight and a relief to see them come back to form with the LELO INA Wave Vibrator.

The clitoral stimulation is the icing on the cake, while the internally used shaft both vibrating and moving up and down makes you feel like all your pleasure spots are being stimulated at once. If you’re really greedy for pleasure (guilty face) just slip in a butt plug before you start, perhaps clip some nipple clamps on…

The wave motion is like a third party stimulation, which makes it seem even sexier. The motion of it consistently moving up and down over and over isn’t something I could replicate using my own hand movements alone, as it’s natural to slow down or speed up in accordance with arousal and energy levels.

The only small issue I have with the wave feature is that I have to hold the rabbit vibrator a different way to usual (for me). Instead of my hand with palm upwards and the handle inside it, I have my hand knuckles-up and the handle underneath it. My index finger keeps the handle down while my thumb is curved around the underside. This gives me greater control of the handle, avoiding the problem of the handle being the part that waves up and down instead of the internal shaft. After a while using the LELO INA Wave Vibrator this could give me finger strain and hand ache, but as the vibrations are powerful enough and the wave motion is delicious I reach orgasm fast enough so this isn’t a problem.

Another small issue I have is that the +, -, ^ and V buttons around the central concave power button are just small etches on the handle, not actual buttons. I mean they are buttons in that when you press them it responds in the right way, but I have to look and see which symbol it is that I’m pressing. Or test my memory enough until I can remember exactly where each one is, and hope that info doesn’t fly straight out of my head in the throes of ecstasy. I prefer raised buttons or ones which are different to each other. I can’t read Braille and I can’t get my head between my legs to look at the sticking out handle of a sex toy which is inside my vagina. So toy designers please remember that the buttons of your sex toy need to be easily identified by feel as well as by eyes. It’s all very well having a beautiful, smooth sex toy handle but annoying when I have to take it out of my vagina in order to know which button I’m pressing. While we’re on the subject, I don’t really care if the buttons light up while it’s in there either – although for a partner using a sex toy on me it could be useful I guess.

Anyway… mini rant over, I do absolutely love the LELO INA Wave Vibrator, those small issues aside. I coat it in water based lube, get myself ready, insert it and whack it up to top level constant vibration with the Wave motion doing its thing. Actually I tend to turn it to the setting I want before inserting it so I don’t have to fiddle about with buttons while it’s in there. If it’s fully inserted in my vagina there can be moments of discomfort as the tip catches my cervix or G-spot in a not 100% pleasurable manner, but I slip it down slightly and once it’s in the right place for me, BAM. I’m done. All this will depend on your personal anatomy of course, every woman’s vulva and vagina are different.

By my measurements the LELO INA Wave Vibrator measures 8 inches in overall length, with an insertable length of 4 inches and maximum shaft circumference of 4.5 inches.

If you’d like to add the amazing LELO INA Wave Vibrator to your collection (and if you like rabbit vibrators, clitoral stimulation and G-spot pleasure then you really should) then please invest in it today.
