I received the Halloween Gentle Ghost Vibrating Cock Ring to review from Lovehoney, at the same time as the Halloween Party Pumpkin Vibrating Cock Ring. I think making seasonal sex toys is a brilliant idea from the sex toy industry, as they can add an intimately sexy, adult dimension to traditional occasions.

Both of these Halloween sex toys are manufactured by Shots Media and cost less than a tenner – but are they worth adding to your spooky sex toy collection this Halloween?

My Thoughts

Delivery & Packaging

As usual, the delivery from Lovehoney was quick and discreet. The Halloween cock rings were packaged safely and securely in the brown outer cardboard box. Like its pumpkin-themed counterpart, the Halloween Ghost Cock Ring comes in a glossy card packet which has a bubble-style plastic window at the front housing and revealing the cock ring within. The back of the packet gives you all the info you need about this Halloween sex toy.

First Impressions

Like the pumpkin cock ring, the Halloween Ghost Cock Ring is made of silicone – which is excellent news. At under £10 this could quite easily have been made with a cheaper/less body-safe material like jelly or TPR, so crafting it from safe and non-porous silicone is a welcome bonus.

I was also pleased to see that the Halloween Gentle Ghost Vibrating Cock Ring is completely waterproof, making it not only usable in the bath or shower (for the flexible lovers out there) it’s also worry-free to clean between uses.

This cock ring requires 2x AG13 batteries (small cell type) -but happily, these are supplied within the toy. The cock ring is a silicone shape with a space for the removable bullet vibrator.

I was looking forward to retiring to our happy haunt and giving this ghostly cock ring a go.

Size / Measurements

The Halloween Gentle Ghost Vibrating Cock Ring measures 2.4 inches / 6cm in max width, taking into account ghostie’s arms. Unstretched diameter of the hole is 1 inch. This cock ring stretches to fit most penis sizes.

Something I must note at this point: The ghost cock ring is so incredibly tactile… the bottom of the ghost design has a thinner (yet still rugged enough) area of silicone which is almost like a skirt. I couldn’t stop running my fingers over the smooth silicone. It’s become a bit like a kinky fidget cube, to be honest.

Powering Up

As I’ve said, the Halloween Ghost Cock Ring needs 2x AG13 batteries (small cell type), which come with the sex toy. To switch the Halloween Gentle Ghost Vibrating Cock Ring on or off, you use the little push button on the side of the removable bullet vibrator.

During Use

The Halloween Vibrating Cock Ring was nice and easy to figure out how to use, it’s almost self-explanatory really. The ring area goes around the base of his shaft, or around both cock and balls, if it will fit comfortably. The vibrating bullet behind the ghost’s eyes sit at the top to provide clitoral stimulation during PIV sex.

We found this cock ring to be a more comfortable fit than the Party Pumpkin cock ring. That ring has a slender rounded loop whereas this ghost ring has a wider portion of silicone making up the ring, as part of its design. The wider aspect meant more stability around the base of his cock.

Unfortunately, as with the Party Pumpkin cock ring, I found the vibrations from the included bullet too weak and buzzy for my picky clit. It was easy to turn them on and off with the side switch, but I only got intermittent stimulation to my clit due to the natural back and forth motions of sex. Then, when I did get the stim hit from the bullet, it was a high frequency style of vibration which isn’t my favourite. I prefer to use something a bit more rumbly against my clit during sex to get me off.

My partner, on the other hand, is very sensitive to vibrations (you can tell he’s not spent a decade testing vibrators). He finds vibrating cock rings a real buzz (sorry) and as this one is made of silicone, it transmits the vibrations around its entire design really effectively.

Ghost In Overdrive

I realised, when testing the Halloween Gentle Ghost Vibrating Cock Ring, that there was nothing stopping me from changing the type of vibration I experience from this ring. After all, this Halloween sex toy is simply a silicone ring which houses a removable bullet – what if I changed the type of bullet inside that area? The space is pretty slim, but it was easy to push one of my other bullet vibes through the space.

My personal favourites to slip into the Halloween Gentle Ghost Vibrating Cock Ring are the Tracey Cox Supersex, Rocks Off RO-80, my ‘Mermazing’ bullet vibe from the A Little Bit Of Magic Sex Toy Kit, or the rechargeable and worldwide favourite, the We-Vibe Tango Bullet Vibrator.

Summary

Although I’m not a fan of the style of vibrations that come with this Halloween Gentle Ghost Vibrating Cock Ring, I still believe this would be a fantastic fun addition to the bedroom for many this Halloween. The design is so cute, and the bottom edge of the ghost is so tactile (seriously, you have to buy one so you can have a fiddle and see what I mean).

The design is alluring, it’s made from silicone and it’s waterproof, too. Plus, you can always change up the bullet vibrator in the space for it if you don’t fancy the bullet vibe provided. And you get a free Shots Media badge, although that ‘S’ could stand for anything you like, really!
