Weekend at Wilderhope Manor by Lucy Felthouse – Review
Another piece of well written Lesbian erotica by the delightful and contemporary Lucy Felthouse.
The story tells the tale of two lovers Stephanie and Jenny who embark upon a Murder Mystery Halloween weekend together. However, the girls quickly realise that there is much more to Wilderhope Manor than meets the eye and a series of strange encounters leave them both spooked and incredibly aroused.
What is the secret of Wilderhope Manor and what are the extraordinary occurrences that are causing the girls to scream so loudly…. both in and out of the bedroom? I won’t spoil the story by giving anything away so you will need to buy it if you want to find out more.
However, I can tell you that the descriptions of the Tudor manor and the background of the story and characters were beautifully written and really captured my imagination. The characters in the story are exactly the kind of people that you would stereotypically find at a murder mystery weekend and added an element of fun to this dark and paranormal tale. The sexual encounters between Jenny and Stephanie, like all of Lucy Felthouse’s sexual scenes are very descriptive, sensual and extremely enjoyable to read.
The story itself is okay but I just wasn’t blown away by it, I would have preferred more depth to the actual storyline instead of a storyline that had been written around various sex scenes. It was a promising tale that I felt had the potential to be a brilliant story and instead felt a little flat. I
kept waiting for something really exciting to happen and it never did.
I am a huge fan of Lucy Felthouse and do enjoy her stories. I enjoy erotica in general, in particular The Spanish Artist which I also reviewed for The Cara Sutra. I have to say that this story wasn’t a great read for me. I would have liked a little more action. However, the sex scenes are very in-depth so if you do like a good girl on girl scene this may just be the book for you…
Out of 10? I’d have to give it a six.
