Fun Factory Darling Devil Vibrator Review

By Pleasure Panel reviewer Voluptuous Vixen

Keep your halos tight, Fun Factory have made a sex toy as dark as my soul. The Fun Factory Darling Devil Vibrator is one of their latest sex toys. It comes in a delicious red, or darkest black. I was fortunate to receive the black Darling Devil, plus the Fun Factory Hybrid Kit Power Pack, to test and review for the Pleasure Panel. I own a few Fun Factory toys, each and every one is completely different and high end, with great German engineering, so I have pretty high expectations about this toy.

Packaging

The Fun Factory Darling Devil Vibrator comes in the usual golden box with a sleeve covering it which shows you the product.

What surprised me, was that the cable and the batteries weren’t included so you’ll need to purchase the Hybrid kit separately. Not something I’ve come across before in all my 5 years that I’ve been buying or testing and reviewing sex toys. It just doesn’t make sense, especially from a luxury brand. So keep in mind that you’ll have to spend more money on the Hybrid kit.

If you have a Fun Factory charging cable already you can also buy ordinary rechargeable batteries.

As with all Fun Factory toys, it doesn’t include a storage bag either. I suppose you could discard the sleeve and just use the gold box it comes in as storage, but it’s not very sturdy.

First Impressions

Fun Factory Darling Devil Vibrator Review

I was eager to summon the Fun Factory Darling Devil Vibrator from the depths of Hell of its box as the toy has a unique form and appearance with its devil horns on the tip of the vibe, for added stimulation and a ‘tail’ as the clit vibe, a variation of rabbit ears. Fun Factory I give you extra points for originality.

The toy is made from a good quality body-safe medical silicone, which unfortunately is a little bit grabby, attracting lint and dust from nowhere! The slightly bulbous tip and horns have some flexibility, with the shaft becoming more rigid going down towards the tail. This is where the one motor is. Sadly there isn’t a second motor for the ‘tail’, which sadly lets me down….a lot. I do love the rippled texture on the back or the devil shaft, it reminds me slightly of my Stronic Drei, although the Drei’s ripples are much closer together.

The handle of the Fun Factory Darling Devil Vibrator is of a matte texture, which means it’s easier to hold is you have wet/lubed hands.

There are 3 buttons, FUN is the power on/off button with + and – buttons to scroll through and backwards the 3 speeds and 7 varied patterns. The buttons are quite small, would have preferred them to be bigger, my fat thumbs tend to struggle to press them.

During Use

I’m quite experienced with rabbit style toys, I own various variations, but prefer these dual stim toys to be a minimum of 6 inches in length due to having a long vagina and high cervix, and I prefer to reach my A-spot for mind blowing, blended orgasms. The Fun Factory Darling Devil Vibrator only has an insertable length of 4 inches, which I’m sure would be enough for normal G-Spot stimulation, but it’s not quite fulfilling enough for me. However, it’s a great warm up vibe, with the thrilling ripples on the shaft, which are more satisfying when the vibe is twisted, stimulating the walls of my vagina.

The ‘tail’ for clitoral stimulation is very disappointing. It reaches nowhere near my clit and is too small. I like broad stimulation, so can really enjoy my labia and vulva being stimulated, without touching my clit itself and almost reaching climax, but the vibrations can barely be felt, so I’m left frustrated and stuck in the shadow’s of hell. Unfortunately the ‘tail’ has no motor itself, relying on the one motor in the shaft, to power it and it totally sucks, really lacking in any power at all. No reaching heaven for me.

How stimulating are those horns, you ask? For me, they are a bit gimmicky, which is a shame. I can’t feel them at all when the shaft is inserted. Externally, around my clit I can feel a slight tickle, but nothing to make me wanna cum. Comparing the two types of stimulation that the toy provides the internal shaft was stronger, with a fantastic rumble of vibrations and patterns. Rumbles are a must for me, so this is a huge plus. If you like an internal stimulation of texture and rumbly vibrations, the Fun Factory Darling Devil Vibrator is worth purchasing.

Pros

– Has a travel lock, great for popping in a weekend bag!

– Rumbly vibrations that reach the depths of your soul.

– good quality silicone

– the variety of patterns, I’m a sucker for being teased with patterns, rather than enjoying a constant speed.

– waterproof and easy to clean

– Unique design and texture

– Rechargeable

Cons

– the silicone attracts lint

– the tail doesn’t provide any external stimulation for me.

– Doesn’t include a charging cable, batteries and a storage bag, need to buy these separately.

– Buttons are a little on the small side.

Summary

Fun Factory Darling Devil Vibrator Review

The internal stimulation is the only thing for me that makes this toy worth purchasing. The strong and rumbly vibrations and texture are great for a warm up before using something like the Fun Factory G5 Big Boss. The Fun Factory Darling Devil wasn’t quite the devil in bed that I expected it to be, it didn’t slip my halo.

I’d rate the Fun Factory Darling Devil 6/10.

The Hybrid Kit

An alternative to standard batteries and more eco-friendly. Just insert the 2 AAA batteries and charge for a couple of hours, to receive 75 minutes of play. The USB cable is 40 inches in length and is a unique red, making it easy to find among other cables. The magnet is strong and connects well to the base of your Fun Factory toy. When charging your toy, the connecting magnet will light up red and the 3 buttons on the toy will indicate how much it is charged:

– Minus button flashing = battery is low (between 0% and 33%)

– Minus button steady light = battery between 33% and 66%

– Fun button flashing = battery between 66% and 99%

– Fun button steady light = fully charged

I personally prefer to have no batteries at all, just the usual rechargeable toys, but I know battery powered toys are still popular and the hybrid kit provides a more eco-friendly alternative, making a more mid-range, affordable toys to purchase. This kit is suitable for use with a number of Fun Factory sex toys (Mr Boss, Diva Dolphin, Abby G, Wicked Wings or the Darling Devil).

Fun Factory Hybrid Kit: 8/10
