Packaging:
The Fifty Shades of Grey Feel it Baby! Vibrating Cock Ring comes packaged in the familiar official Fifty Shades of Grey box. It is an elegant, simple, dark box with a picture of the cock ring on the front. This is definitely not the most discreet box as it also contains a quote from the novel. Nether the less it is a nice touch to receive an item that is packaged so beautifully with no crude photos or off putting over sexual phrases.
What is included:
Inside of the box you receive the silicone Fifty Shades of Grey Feel it Baby! Vibrating Cock Ring, with a removable vibrating part (this can be used alone as a bullet vibe), a grey satin storage bag, and four LR44 watch batteries. The ring only needs two batteries to run, so it is great that you have spare batteries included! The storage bag is roughly twice as big as it needs to be for this cock ring, but it is a pleasant addition to the set and ensures your ring is kept safe and dry when not in use. Instructions are also included if you’ve never used a cock ring before.
First Impressions
My first impressions were “wow, this is quite chunky and I’m worried it will be uncomfortable”. All the vibrating rings I have used in the past have been small, buzzy jelly type rings and this is significantly bigger since it has a removable bullet! It also has “Fifty Shades of Grey” stamped into the silicone. For me this was a minor turn off as I am not a fan of the books, however that is a minor niggle that I can easily overlook. I liked the grey colour of the silicone paired with the black bullet and I like a more masculine colour.
When I turned on the Fifty Shades of Grey Feel it Baby! Vibrating Cock Ring (by simply pressing the large button on the bullet) I was shocked at how strong it was! I was expecting a weak buzz but this certainly has power – I couldn’t wait to test it out!
My husband’s first impression:
I feel this is relevant to mention as my husband’s first concern was that the Fifty Shades of Grey Feel it Baby! Vibrating Cock Ring wasn’t going to fit. He is between 5-5.25 inch circumference and he was worried that the ring would be too large. The silicone doesn’t seem to have much stretch (compared to jelly rings) to it, so the hole has a standard size but will accommodate larger penises. However there is the risk that less girthier penises may find the ring too loose to use.
During use:
Once my husband was erect, we applied water based lube to his penis and the ring easily slid on. Once in place he was pleasantly surprised as it was tighter than he was expecting. The fit was snug enough that the ring didn’t slide or twist around, but not too tight that it was uncomfortable. As the ring is quite wide, he didn’t find any of the erection enhancing properties that we have experienced with narrower cock rings, but that may vary person to person. The ring was easy to turn on (even with slippery hands!) and we got down to it.
When we were having sex, I can’t say that I felt the vibrations at all, except when I had direct clitoral contact. For me that meant me on top, in a laid down “grinding” position. In this position I could feel “mild vibrations”. I think it’s fair to say that the silicone slightly dulls the vibrations, and because the bullet casing is quite bulky it is hard to get clitoral contact.
I found that the vibrations were focused on my lips rather than the clitoris. Cock rings often have a little “nub” that sticks out and focuses on your clitoris, but as this Fifty Shades of Grey Feel it Baby! Vibrating Cock Ring is smooth on the top, you would have to prize the outer labia apart enough to fit the bullet in! As for the chunkiness, well that gave me something firm to grind against so I could probably get myself off without any vibrations at all!
Having said all that, I have been able to orgasm each time I have used this cock ring and it does feel fantastic! I often struggle to orgasm so I find toys help to speed things up for me. The orgasms I experience when using the cock ring last about 30 seconds (about average for me) and the vibrations are enough to tip me over the edge but don’t make me over sensitive. This is great because it means I can go again, and again!
Noise:
It’s hard to objectively state whether this Fifty Shades of Grey Feel it Baby! Vibrating Cock Ring is noisy, but I found it to be quieter than your average bullet. I think the silicone works well to make the sound less noticeable, and once you are thrusting and enjoying the ring you barely hear it at all.
Cleaning the ring:
As recommended we used a sex toy cleaner to clean both the casing and the bullet. It’s easy to clean even with the FSOG indented onto it. Left to dry and safely in its pouch it will be ready for the next time we crave it!
Cost:
Currently retailing £14.99 I would recommend this vibrating love ring to those who are looking to buy a reusable cock ring (as opposed to the single use disposable ones) who don’t yet want to splurge on a rechargeable ring. This is a very fair price for a good quality item that will continue to please!
Pros:
1. Decent strength vibrations
2. Spare batteries included
3. Not too noisy
4. A nice gift if you are collecting the Fifty Shades sex toys.
5. Easy to use on/off button for the single speed bullet
Cons:
1. Hard to get constant clitoral stimulation in most positions
2. The fit may be too loose for some, or even too tight for extra girthy men
Overall:
Overall I am pleasantly surprised with this Fifty Shades of Grey vibrating love ring. Although I wished it had a slight raised part to reach the clitoris, it is a well made product that does what it claims to, and I hope to feel it again very soon! We give this an 8/10 and thank everyone involved for the chance to test this item.
