Fifty Shades Freed I Want You Now Steel Love Ring Review

Fifty Shades Freed I Want You Now Steel Love Ring review by Kitten Boheme

“What is this useless hunk of metal?!?” Is what I yelled in frustration as the heavy metal ring rammed into my soft fleshy bits for the umpteenth time. I never thought I would ever have such strong feelings over a cock ring… but I do… I am having them… I AM HAVING THEM RIGHT NOW!

The Fifty Shades Freed I Want You Now Steel Love Ring looks gorgeous; I was actually pretty smitten with it when it first arrived. I thought it looked like an over-sized wedding ring for a giant and their giant lover. I had moments where I wished it was big enough to wear as a fancy-ass bracelet that was also heavy enough to double as a blunt force weapon of some sort. I didn’t even care that it was Fifty Shades of Grey branded (I’m SO not a fan of the books/movies), I was really digging the cock ring’s overall vibe.

That is at least until we used it. Now the Fifty Shades Freed I Want You Now Steel Love Ring and I are not on speaking terms. I really had high hopes for this toy. I’ve had the opportunity to use other toys in the Fifty Shades of Grey Official Pleasure Collection line and have been generally pretty impressed by them (the Greedy Girl has become one of my all time favorite rabbit vibrators) so it’s a bummer that the cock ring did not live up to the high expectations the other toys in the collection have given me.

The packaging for the Fifty Shades Freed I Want You Now Steel Love Ring is pretty classy. It arrived in a small, dark colored (I can’t tell if its purple or black… I’m bad with colors), rectangular box with a fairly heavy amount of Fifty Shades Freed branding on it along with a photo of the product itself.

Inside the box is a plastic pull out tray where the metal ring itself sits, while folded underneath the tray was both an short multi-lingual instruction leaflet and a nice purple storage pouch with “Fifty Shades Freed” in gold lettering. The storage pouch is a nice addition, it’s an attractive way to store, protect and travel with the cock ring.

The Fifty Shades Freed I Want You Now Steel Love Ring itself is quite heavy, weighing in at 5.6oz… which just seems so darn heavy for a cock ring! You could do like… cock exercises with this thing… “AND LIFT! LIFT! LIFT THAT RING!” … or something. It is made from a shiny rose gold colored metal which holds temperature quite well, making it fun for some sensation/temperature pay. The outer side of the cock ring is branded with a small engraving of “Fifty Shades Free” while the inner ring is engraved with the words “I want you. Now.” Pretty simple, pretty classy.

Okay, so why then do I hate this Fifty Shades Freed I Want You Now Steel Love Ring so much? Well… our first issue was with it’s sizing. The rings inner circumference is roughly 6 inches, which seems pretty roomy to me. I would say my partner has a fairly average sized penis, but this ring fits just loose enough that it didn’t squeeze or produced the desired cock ring effect. It was a total let down.

I really like idea of the metal cock ring. The gold ring is beautiful and I love the cold metal that heats up against my skin and the impressive weight of the thing… but… it isn’t a one size fits all kind of toy. If you have a penis who’s girth is bigger or smaller than the ring, it seems like it looses its usefulness to you. For my partner the ring was just a hair (like literally, it was just baaaaarely too big), there was no useful pressure being provided by the ring, he never achieved that throbbing, veiny cock look that he gets with silicone rings. During sex he said the ring provided a bit of friction that felt “interesting” as it shifted up and down his cock as he thrust, but it wasn’t the desired outcome either of us were hoping for.

On my end of the deal, I had a heavy metal ring slamming against my labia and other soft bits which while not exactly painful, it was kind of bothersome and distracting for me… which made it hard to feel sexy. I also didn’t get that exciting “living dildo” feeling I get when my partner has a proper fitting cock ring, which was a bummer as well. I like that shiny, tight, purple, throbbing cock!

If you know for sure this ring would fit you correctly, I would definitely recommend it. I think it is well made and I really think the weight and the temperature play possibilities are a really fun addition to the cock ring. But because it is made of metal there is no room for any sizing errors. At least with a silicone cock ring there is the ability to get a tighter fit on a wider number of penis sizes, since silicone can stretch.

Fifty Shades Freed I Want You Now Steel Love Ring Review

Overall though, the Fifty Shades Freed I Want You Now Steel Love Ring was a total failure for us… we will be sticking with our tried and true Tantus Super Soft C-Ring from here on out… but, not all is lost… the Fifty Shades Freed cock ring does make a fantastic paperweight for my desk!

I would have to give the Fifty Shades Freed I Want You Now Steel Love Ring a 3/10. I would like to give it a higher rating as it is a lovely looking toy, but it just didn’t do what I expect a cock ring to do…
