DONA Naughty Sinful Spring Massage Oil Review

By Pleasure Panel reviewer Nat and Tom

When I noticed a couple of miniature bottles of sweet-sounding massage oil up for reviewing during February’s Pleasure Panel round, I eagerly put myself forward. My partner and I are huge fans of massage, with them being a huge part of our intimate life. So, I’m always on the lookout for new products to enhance these experiences. Luckily for us, Cara decided to send us the DONA Naughty Sinful Spring Massage Oil and the DONA Sassy Tropical Tease Massage Oil in exchange for our reviews this month. Thank you!

Presentation

DONA Naughty Sinful Spring Massage Oil ReviewThe DONA Naughty Sinful Spring Massage Oil  bottle arrives presented neatly as shown. It is so petite and unobtrusive that it could be left out on a dresser or thrown in a handbag for easy access. The bottle is the perfect size for travelling with, especially for mini breaks where packing space is limited. It is dispensed via my preferred method which is a flip-top and pour lid. I find this much easier than dealing with droppers and the like, it’s usually less messy too. It can be easy to over pour though, so just keep in mind that a very small amount will do the job. We have done a couple of full body massages and haven’t even made a dent in the bottle yet.

Scent

When I smelt the DONA Naughty Sinful Spring Massage Oil for the first time, I wasn’t sure how I was going to describe the scent. I liked it, but I couldn’t put my finger on what exactly it is. My partner said that it was just quite fresh to him. It possibly has a hint of mint in there somewhere and it reminds him of that just got out of the shower scent. It has a little bit of a musky tone to it too, which I think is gorgeous. It’s probably the reason why my partner prefers it as it’s slightly more masculine than the DONA Sassy Tropical Tease.

Consistency

DONA Naughty Sinful Spring Massage Oil ReviewIn terms of consistency, we were both pleased with it. The DONA Naughty Sinful Spring Massage Oil is thinner than some other oils we’ve used, but it manages to avoid being runny. It’s also avoided feeling tacky, sticky and greasy to the touch which is a great news for us. We won’t use massage products that make us want to jump into the shower immediately after use, as for us, this defeats the point in having a massage in the first place. I’m quite happy to partake in play or even sleep following use with this oil as I can’t feel any residue once it’s been applied and massaged into the skin properly. It leaves the skin feeling soft, refreshed and hydrated, which is exactly what I want from this type of product.

Aphrodisiac/Pheromone Infusion

My main interest in the DONA Naughty Sinful Spring Massage Oil was the idea of it being infused with aphrodisiacs and pheromones. I wasn’t sure how or whether this would make any difference to a regular scented oil, but I couldn’t wait to put it to the test. After multiple uses, I still can’t tell if it was an influencer or not. We did participate in play following use of this product more times than we slept, but this could be down to feeling relaxed/aroused from the skin on skin contact. I’m not ruling out the infused extras or a possible placebo effect, but I’m not sure I’ll ever know for certain whether it was the ingredients or just human nature that got us in the mood.

DONA Naughty Sinful Spring Massage Oil ReviewI have super sensitive skin so I checked out the DONA website for some further information about the product and discovered something that I think is definitely worth sharing in this review. All of the pheromones that are used in their products and 100% safe and contain no harmful chemicals, known allergens or harsh irritants. The pheromones are also synthetic, meaning they have not been derived from coyote urine, pigs or humans and are completely cruelty-free and vegan friendly.

Summary

Overall, I think we’re both pretty pleased with the DONA Naughty Sinful Spring Massage Oil. It’s a great oil with a fabulous consistency and the fact that it doesn’t irritate sensitive skin or contain animal materials makes this a high scorer for us. This was our favourite scent of the two we received and I think we’ll be coming back to this one in the future in the form of a larger bottle.

8/10
