Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock 7 Inch Thin Dildo Review
By Pleasure Panel reviewer Joanne’s Reviews
I was very pleased when I found out that the lovely Cara was looking for someone to review another Vac-u-lock dildo from the Doc Johnson range, and it was supplied by one of my favourite UK companies Bondara. The Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock 7 Inch Thin Dildo is the second dildo that I have reviewed in this round (the other being the 6” Raging Hardon Dong).
The Vac-U-Lock System
This dildo uses Doc Johnson’s Vac-u-lock system, which is a great way to be able to quickly and efficiently change dildos on a strap on or indeed a fucking machine. That is why I like it so much. When you introduce the Vac-u-lock adaptor into the hole in the base of a sex toy, air is expelled – and when you try to withdraw it a vacuum keeps it firmly fitted inside the dildo. This holds it very securely to whatever you have attached the dildo to.
It always helps to sprinkle a little cornflour into the hole before you fit the dildo to an adaptor as it makes removal a little bit easier. To remove the dildo simply push a finger between the dildo and the adaptor to break the vacuum and then slide the dildo clear. “Simples”, as the Meerkat says.
Packaging
Doc Johnson dildos all arrive in attractive retail packaging that carry a lot of information about the product, and it is proudly made in the USA. The Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock 7 Inch Thin Dildo packaging is nothing striking, but it is informative – and the dildo is secured inside in a plastic bag.
Specs
Enough about the packaging I hear you cry, what about the Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock 7 Inch Thin Dildo? Well… I am getting to the interesting part I promise you. As its name suggests this is a relatively thin dildo although its base widens to accommodate the hole for the Vac-u-lock adaptor.
It is 1.6” (4cm) in diameter and has an insertable length of 5.8” (14.7cm). This makes it quite a slimline dildo but it isn’t tiny by any stretch of the imagination.
Shape
The Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock 7 Inch Thin Dildo base features the Vac-u-lock hole in the wider section of the dildo and it slowly then tapers to its tip. It is phallic in shape with a well-defined helmet but not much in the way of external texture so it is pretty smooth.
Material
This Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock 7 Inch Thin Dildo is made of a PVC material with an additive called Sil-a-gel in it. This additive is only used by Doc Johnson and it is an antibacterial agent that is helps prevent bacterial growth on the toy which is to be commended.
The manufacturer clearly states that this toy is phthalates-free – which is very good news – but it does mean that another chemical has been used as a softener for the PVC component of the material. As such I would advise that you use a condom with it as some people do have reactions to these material. I don’t, I hasten to add – but I still use condoms with PVC sex toys as a precautionary measure.
How It Feels
The material that this Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock 7 Inch Thin Dildo is made of is nice and soft with a bit of give if you squeeze it and that makes it ideal for strap on play or for use on a fucking machine where angles of entry can be critical if a toy is too firm. I am happy to note that I have used this dildo in both of these ways and it performs its job admirably. It has enough flex to be able to allow for any movement but it is still firm enough for high speed thrusting.
With A Fucking Machine
In use on my shockspot it was especially good for long periods of very high-speed thrusting where its lack of strong external texture coupled with its small cross sectional area allowed me to enjoy some long sessions without getting sore.
You can use water based or even silicone lubes with this type of material, but I recommend a good quality water based one as it is better for your delicate membranes.
In Conclusion
To summarise: the Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock 7 Inch Thin Dildo is a nice dildo for long sessions where you would get sore with a thicker toy. At only 7” long it isn’t for anyone who enjoys deep, deep penetration – but for most people it will be just fine.
My only negative comments about the Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock 7 Inch Thin Dildo is the fact that it is PVC. If it was silicone then it would be one that I would give a strong recommendation to. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a thinner dildo that is Vac-u-lock compatible.
