Well, let’s first admit I am really into kissable/edible sex essentials, not only lube but also massage oils, body paint, flavoured lip glosses and clitoral balms. Not only because I’m blatantly someone who REALLY loves food – and sweet food, sadly, is on the top ten of my favourites – but also because I feel they really bring new sensations to sex: they make me salivate more with obvious advantages that I leave to your imagination, and they bring a sense of newness and fantasy that is always welcome in my bedroom.
The downside is, I can get bored very fast of using the same flavour over and over again: so I try to always buy smaller bottles of edible products: if I add to the cart a 100 ml sized bottle of my favourite basic lube without thinking on it too much, I will get two 50 ml or even 30 ml bottles, in different flavors, of kissable massage oil, for example.
Having said this, the first thing I appreciate about the Bondara Essentials Chocolate Lubricant is the small 50 ml bottle: so you don’t have the time to get bored with the same flavor or scent! The Bondara Essentials range offers many other flavors from what I see on their website like strawberry, berry or even passion fruit: they sell 50 or 100 ml bottles and 10 ml single use bags.
I could smell the scent of this Bondara Essentials Chocolate Lubricant even through the envelope in which Cara kindly sent it to me: it’s more like chocolate-vanilla mousse or ice cream than like actual milk chocolate (but this is common with other chocolate-scented kissable essentials I have tried before). It’s sweet, of course, but I don’t find it to be overpowering: it’s like the smell of those girly chocolate body splashes you can find at Sephora. I am a great fan of super sweet scents like chocolate or vanilla so this is definitely my thing, but I know not for everyone is the same.
The taste of the Bondara Essentials Chocolate Lubricant is sweet but not something strong enough to cover your partner’s natural taste, and this is very important to me in a flavoured lube: kudos to Bondara! I also find this to be less sticky than other kissable lubes I have tried before, that’s great!
I also love that the Bondara Essentials Chocolate Lubricant is water based so it can be used without problems with any toy you have in your collection. I very rarely buy silicone lubes because I have mostly silicone toys and I don’t want that dummy of my partner to get me a bad surprise on one of my most precious vibes! We also use very often silicone cock rings – almost every time we have sex – so silicone based lube is not an option for intercourse either.
For £4.99 I find this to be fair-priced: it costs the same as other brands’ flavoured lubes on the Bondara website. At the moment I’m writing this there’s also a “buy 2, get 1 free” promo on all the Bondara Essentials range, that looks interesting. I would buy the Bondara Essentials Chocolate Lubricant again!
