I must confess I didn’t look too closely at the product listing before receiving the flogger to test so was surprised to see just how small it was. The 10 inches is from the flogger tips to the end of the handle so this is a very petite bondage item.
The Bondage Boutique Rubber Flogger is on the budget end of the BDSM toy scale but to me the rubber fronds look like cheap black elastic, you know the bits that pop out of your knickers when they’re past their best? Probably not the most flattering analogy but that’s what they reminded me of.
The handle isn’t much better either, just a cheap plastic tube finished with a cord loop which you can use to wrap around your wrist to prevent it flying off in use. Everything about this Bondage Boutique Flogger screams basic to me. While this may be what you are looking for if you are dipping your toe into bondage, it isn’t going to appeal to more experienced users.
In Use
I’ve tried a range of impact intensities with this Bondage Boutique Slap n Tickle 10 Inch Rubber Flogger, from gentle stokes up to hitting as hard as possible. Other than a slight sting at the very top end of the scale though, I felt very little. The fronds are just too light and delicate to deliver any kind of thud or sting.
Even used on my inner thighs and labia, the Bondage Boutique Flogger couldn’t elicit more than a few moans from me. I prefer to be swearing like a sailor and writhing around while I’m flogged but the impacts just weren’t strong enough.
Conclusion
While I’m what I’d describe as a soft sub, I’m still working on building my pain threshold, this flogger was just too gentle for me. It worked well as a sensory toy but more on the tickler end of the scale than the pain end. Even after several hard slaps my skin was barely red and there was certainly no after effects. It may work well as a starter toy to warm your skin up before moving on to something more intense but for me it was just too gentle.
