Alive Magic Egg Max Remote Vibrating Love Egg Review
By Pleasure Panel reviewer Naughty Nerd
The very first sex toy I purchased was an Alive Love Egg. It was completely battery powered, made from plastic with no frills but I loved it. It doesn’t work now but I won’t throw it away as it represents a massive change in my relationship with Mr Nerd. So when June’s Pleasure Panel round included the Alive Magic Egg Max Remote Vibrating Love Egg from Bondara I was really keen to review it
First Impressions & Design
The packaging is just like I remember, very bright, fun and instantly appealing. The design of the Alive Magic Egg Max Remote Vibrating Love Egg is the largely the same, a wireless remote control made from ABS plastic and the Love egg itself which unscrews in the middle to access the batter compartment. The difference with this one is that the purple & black love egg is made largely from silicone rather than ABS which is a great upgrade however it is a shame that the remote hasn’t been upgraded too.
The Alive Magic Egg Max Remote Vibrating Love Egg is nice and light and measures approx 3.5 inches in length and just under 1.5 inches in diameter. The egg takes 2 AAA batteries which are included. The access the battery compartment you twist the egg were the 2 colours meet. I did find it a little fiddly to screw back together as if the thread on the 2 parts didn’t quite match but I got there in the end. The remote takes a A23 battery that also comes with the toy too.
The Alive Magic Egg Max Remote Vibrating Love Egg is really easy to use. There are just 2 buttons on the remote. One to switch it off/on and the other to change the patterns. There are no buttons or switches on the egg itself to worry out. It has a good range of options with 3 vibrating speeds and 7 patterns.
It is not the strongest Love Egg I have ever tried but this doesn’t matter to me. I like using the Alive Magic Egg Max Remote Vibrating Love Egg with my partner to play and tease each other when we are out and about at the cinema or eating out but I also like using it when we are having anal sex. In neither of these scenarios do I want the Love Egg to be strong enough to make me orgasm, it is there to add to the fun. That said, I do like the sensations of the vibrations when Mr Nerd has the remote as I don’t know when to expect it to change. It definitely brings something to the party. It is nice and quiet too so I don’t have to worry about anyone hearing it when we are out.
The silicone egg is an improvement on the previous ABS plastic. It is still easy to insert with a little bit of lube but it just makes it a little more comfortable.
There is a cord at the bottom of the Alive Magic Egg Max Remote Vibrating Love Egg which you use to remove it. It is fastened in really tightly so there is no risk of it snapping or coming loose. I find the cord comfortable when wearing it for a while too so much so that I am not really aware of it whilst wearing it.
The Alive Magic Egg Max Remote Vibrating Love Egg is not completely waterproof, it is only splashproof so you need to be a little careful when cleaning it that you don’t completely soak it. Personally I take the batteries out, fastening it back together tightly and give it a spray with sex toy cleaner.
The Alive Magic Egg Max Remote Vibrating Love Egg retails for £34.99 which isn’t exactly cheap however I think it is worth that overall. The Love Egg does look a little cheap in my opinion, particularly the remote, but it is a product that my partner and I really enjoy using. No it doesn’t make me orgasm on its own but that is not what I want from it.
I would give the Alive Magic Egg Max Remote Vibrating Love Egg 7/10.
