Erotic World Book Day Led by powerhouse columnist and erotic author Emily Dubberley of Cliterati, the world of erotic authors have united to create Erotic World Book Day. It is also being held on March 5th and it’s a cause that I fully support and hope you will be involved with too. The main locations for Erotic World Book Day discussion right now are on Facebook (group and page) and you can also find out more through Cliterati’s twitter. Another great source of erotica information and news are the Smut UK team, also on Facebook and Twitter.
Sexhibition 2015 was a memorable experience, for various reasons. The erotic event of the year took place at Event City Manchester, which is right by the Trafford Centre, and promised to bring together adult industry exhibitors, porn stars and other adult entertainers in one glamorous, spectacular event.
I outed the fact that this was a nice was of saying "Best Blog Award" really. I thought I was hilarious, anyway. I still stand by thanking my lovely partners of course, if not for them, I wouldn't have the award at all. Their work with the custom coding, SEO help, design and more have brought me to this point, as well as my own writing.
Time for a bit of bondage - as you do in the office on Friday afternoons (don't you? Just me then) - and resident photographer Loryn was roped in as our *ahem* willing and enthusiastic volunteer. Mistress Victoria and I really enjoyed tying him up in a Shibari rope harness while plenty of photographs were taken. Taking advantage of his predicament I brandished and wielded the whip yet again. I'm going to get a reputation at this rate.
Something big is happening this October and I’m going to be there! It’s time for Erofame in Hanover Germany, and it’s one of the biggest adult industry trade shows in Europe.
By Cara Sutra: So I just found out this morning that I've been short-listed for the Best Erotic Journalist Award in the ETO Awards 2016 and I am so very grateful and excited! Thanks to everyone who has voted for me so far - I would be ecstatic if you would consider just pushing my button one more time and voting me as your Best Erotic Journalist 2016.
It’s my second day back in the office after the amazing 10th anniversary year of the ETO Show, the UK’s biggest and best adult industry expo run in association with the widely read industry publication ETO Magazine. My head is still spinning from the entire weekend and my legs are sore from walking around and having to be vertical for so long instead of merely transporting me between desk, coffee station, and bed. Writing up this post event report is almost too mammoth a task to imagine. The ETO Show 2014 encompasses so much news that I have actually split the report into four parts to make it a little easier to digest.
The ETO Awards are always a spectacle to attend and behold, and the ETO Awards 2014 dinner, presentation and dancing was no different. In fact, it was even bigger, crazier, happier and hotter than last year. You can read the full list of winners on the ETO Magazine website here. No matter whether you’re nominated for a coveted ETO award or simply attending and soaking up the much needed annual celebration of our wonderful industry, everyone agrees that it’s an exciting and fun night. I’d headed back from day one of the show at 4pm, earlier than the closing time, to get ready and try to relax a little before the night got into full swing. I took my time getting ready, soaking up every moment of this special night away from the desk and anticipating so much fun and excitement.
Bringing together erotica, fetish, catwalk shows, and five star gourmet dining with a seductive burlesque twist, Sexhibition will be a daring and sexy day out for those wanting to take a walk on the wild side.. We've also got a sneak peak at the Sexhibition cinema trailer, which is being screened before the showing of Fifty Shades Of Grey this coming weekend. Event organiser, Cheryl Smith explains, "The event of the Fifty Shades phenomenon is doing great things for British attitudes towards sex and sexuality. Whatever your opinion of the FSOG books and film, it's got us all - especially women - talking about our fantasies and that's got to be a good thing!"
I woke surprisingly early on Sunday morning, the first day of the ETO Show 2014. The doors didn’t open to the public until 10.30am, but Julian was going to be at the stand at 8am in order to make sure everything was perfect. I arrived about 8.45am, leaving my partner Sable in bed and minnie getting ready. Walking around the corner from the hotel to the NEC expo hall I mentally prepared for the day ahead. I felt excited but not nervous - this was the ETO Show after all and it feels like family being with all the familiar faces and great contacts in the industry that I talk to regularly.
I’m worried about hearing the right words when people ask questions. That’s quite before the fact that I just don’t like my voice. Writing seems to comfortable, compared; when you’re reading words you can imagine the perfect pitch and tone of voice. Never any hesitation or stuttering, no breaking voice, no awkward pauses. No scrabbling around in the corners of your mind for the right way to say this out loud.
It's over a week since I returned from the annual ETO Show at Birmingham's NEC and I don't think I've come back to earth just yet. As usual, the ETO Magazine team put on a spectacular adult industry trade show, with a gala dinner and awards presentation in the middle of the two days to celebrate the best in the biz.

So there I was, about to visit The Erotica Show 2013, in central London, planning to read the sauciest smut imaginable over at Lucy Felthouse's Smut by the Dock stand, with no knickers on.
There had been various rumours in the weeks beforehand, but yesterday the ETO Magazine team officially announced that their annual UK trade exhibition has been cancelled. This has obviously led to much dismay and disappointment within the adult industry. Why was the ETO Show 2017 cancelled?
The first 10 bloggers to come meet me (whether at my stand or at any time during the event) and give me their blogging/sex toy reviewing business card, will get a free goody bag that I've put together myself. The goody bags are a mix of information, general adult industry merchandise, sexy freebies and other gifts and goodies I've put together. You'll effectively be raiding my sexy drawers and getting some gorgeous freebies in the process. I'll be chucking more things into each as the show draws closer. Coming to ETO and hoping to get some freebies and samples? Here's an easy way to guarantee it.
By Cara Sutra: Will I be meeting you this weekend? I am talking about, of course, the wonderful Erotica Show London UK event held in Tobacco Dock London, from 25-27 October 2013.
By Hella Rude Working in the adult retail sector is super-happy fun times and most people working in the industry have full-time contracts or their own company, so as a freelancer you feel somewhat disconnected from everyone. It's therefore unusual to form a bond with anyone who isn't your client. You know and like lots of folk, but there's never any real time to forge friendships.
