I hated the Fifty Shades of Grey book, there I said it. I thought it was a boring story with tame sex and a couple of lacklustre, crazed idiots – one of whom wanted to mercilessly beat one and another who simpered, bit her lip and let him do exactly what he wanted.
However, millions of women (and some men) fell in love with the story of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Fifty Shades of Grey became one of the bestselling books of 2011 and the most anticipated movie of 2015. In Blackburn, the seats to all 7 showings on the 13th February were fully booked as couples flocked to experience the passionate love affair on the big screen. According to a member of management, this has never been seen before at our Cinema.
Bringing together erotica, fetish, catwalk shows, and five star gourmet dining with a seductive burlesque twist, Sexhibition will be a daring and sexy day out for those wanting to take a walk on the wild side..
We’ve also got a sneak peak at the Sexhibition cinema trailer, which is being screened before the showing of Fifty Shades Of Grey this coming weekend. Event organiser, Cheryl Smith explains, “The event of the Fifty Shades phenomenon is doing great things for British attitudes towards sex and sexuality. Whatever your opinion of the FSOG books and film, it’s got us all – especially women – talking about our fantasies and that’s got to be a good thing!”
Sexpo is the largest ever sexual health and lifestyle exhibition and this year, for the first time ever, it’s coming to the UK.
Sexpo UK will take place at the London Olympia on 13-15th November 2015 and will house an exciting and colourful array of all aspects of sexual lifestyle under one roof. There will also be a vast shopping area here visitors can buy popular and the latest sex toys, lingerie, bondage gear and more from adult retailers. There will also be erotic book sellers and the ability to meet your favourite erotica authors.
The organisers promise a colourful visual feast of eye-catching and breath-taking live entertainment, mesmerising performances and sensational catwalk shows. You will be spoilt for choice. If you’re an adult film fan, you can meet your favourite porn stars and glamour models face to face for an autograph and a photo. You can even buy R-18 adult entertainment in this fully licensed environment.
Led by powerhouse columnist and erotic author Emily Dubberley of Cliterati, the world of erotic authors have united to create Erotic World Book Day. It is also being held on March 5th and it’s a cause that I fully support and hope you will be involved with too.
The main locations for Erotic World Book Day discussion right now are on Facebook (group and page) and you can also find out more through Cliterati’s twitter. Another great source of erotica information and news are the Smut UK team, also on Facebook and Twitter.
The Fifty Shades of Grey film, based on the best selling trilogy of books by EL James, will be in theatres (cinemas) from Valentine’s Day next month. I’ll be going to see it along with probably most of the western world (though not at the same time and definitely not at the same cinema). The film fifty shades of grey lowest price erotic books at Lovehoney with offersstars Jamie Dornan As Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, the protagonists who find themselves caught in a kinky love affair in the books. As Fifty Shades of Grey undoubtedly (and maybe inexplicably) helped to bridge the worlds of vanilla and kink, it will be genuinely interesting to see the effect a film version will have on the world view of BDSM or at least a bit of light bedroom bondage.
It’s more than a little scary that if wank fodder gets taken away from a certain type of man their first instinct is to have a tantrum, call names and insult women – insult their looks mostly, for what else do women have?
So who is to ‘blame’ for the door closing on boobs in The Sun? Most put this squarely at the feet of ‘those stupid feminists’. We can assume that this refers to the Say No To Page 3 campaigners (find on Twitter and Facebook), who have certainly not made a secret of their feelings about boobs on page 3 (or indeed any other page) of The Sun. Bare breasts in the paper has been labelled misogynistic, objectifying and primitive and the campaigners tirelessly petitioned to get this feature permanently removed from The Sun. Upon hearing the announcement on the 20th January, the Say No To Page 3 campaigners were absolutely ecstatic in their triumphant celebrations.
Not because he’s got two penises. Not because I feel that he’s some kind of freak of nature who deserves my pity. Because of the world’s reaction to him. The man with two penises. That’s how he’s described everywhere, that’s the sum of who he is.
Ok sure; so he did go to the media and get them to cover his story from this angle. He has written a book and is making money off the fact that he sexes in stereo. I still feel sorry for him. Ever since he was young he has had to get used to the fact that he was different to other people. Many people go through this, it’s true. Happily, he started with an optimistic outlook, assuming that people would be jealous of him rather than mock him or make him into some kind of social outcast for the rest of his time.

I mean if porn DVDs are being produced which are expressing an enjoyable and liberated view of sexuality, then there should be no problem having Video on Demand following the same guidelines. This has become known as the UK porn ban.
2014 was a fantastic year. It’s the year my family and I settled into a new home, very early in January. We left behind the personal bereavements and losses of 2013, and made a fresh start supporting each other and have felt strong and more bonded than ever. We’ve also just had the best Christmas we’ve ever had.
The happy looks set to continue through 2015, for which I feel very lucky. I try not to take anything for granted. Life has a way of changing so quickly; all we can do is work the hardest we can on our personal relationships, continue being honest with each other and working from honourable motives.

Alchemy XII by Tamsin Flowers – Wild About Harry! Over the past week or two, you might have found yourself becoming aware of a phenomena called Alchemy XII. There have been tweets about it. There have been Facebook posts about it.
So what does the future of social connectivity mean to me? I’m in a different position to those seeking a way to connect with their lover or the target of their seduction techniques over long distance. I live with my partner so we are fortunate to be able to maintain a regular and exciting sex life skin to skin, lips to lips, fingers in hair, and… well. I’ll leave that to your imagination for now. However, not everyone is able to live with their partner, or see their fuck buddy very often, or even live in the same country as the one they lust after. What then?

In case you missed the headlines, the Great British Government made the neato decision to ban a completely confusing list of sex acts in UK porn. I’ve been reading story upon story upon story regarding the subject and I feel like we might be (on the most part) missing the point here. If you hadn’t guessed, this is VERY MUCH an opinion piece.
