Sex Blogger Q&A
What’s your blog name and how did you come up with the idea?
I have a popular feminist sex-blog on The Huffington Post and thought it was high time I started a personal sex-blog too. I named my sex-blog The Victress because I believe it sums up my fierce sexuality and the style of my writing.
Approximately how long have you been sex blogging?
Just over a year. It’s definitely been a learning curve.
Why did you start a sex blog?
In all honesty, I never intended to be a blogger, journalist or sex-columnist. My focus was on my acting career. I had a nervous breakdown in 2011 and started writing more frequently as an outlet. My writing took off and I’ve never returned to the acting arena.
Do you use social media? If so, where can we find you?
Do your friends know you’re a sex blogger?
Most definitely. I don’t hide much. I like to lay my cards on the table.
Share with us a funny or interesting experience that’s happened to you in the course of your blogging.
I get a ton of emails, particularly regarding my sex-blog on The Huff Post. Men and women write to me to say thank you or share their personal sex-stories. It warms my heart. I do not take any of my followers or readers of my work for granted.
Will you still be blogging in 5 years time?
Haha, great question! I have no idea what I’m doing in 2 hours, let alone 5 years. I’m a very spontaneous person, so who knows.
Do you prefer blogging fictional erotica, real life sex anecdotes or factual based content?
I like to write real-life erotica and sex-blogs in first person. I’m not as comfortable with writing fiction.
