Sex Toy Trends: Meet The Touch-Free Clit Suction Sex Toys

Touch-Free Clit Suction Sex Toys

What are they? Do they work? Should you buy one?

Over the past year, the world of sex toys has been drawn in by alluring clit suction sex toys which promise touch-free orgasms. Suction devices for sexual health purposes as well as sexual stimulation have been around for some decades of course; famously the penis pump but also pussy pumps and breast and nipple pumps. These suction devices have sold consistently – in particular, penis pumps – because of the promise of a larger part of the anatomy if the suction device is used on it regularly and over a long period of time. Blood rushing to the suctioned area of the body also makes it much more sensitive, hence the popularity of pussy pumps and nipple suckers.

So what makes these new touch-free clit suction sex toys any different from a good old pussy pump?

Sex Toy Trends - Meet The Touch-Free Clit Suction Sex Toys

Instead of a manual pump bulb with a valve, these new touch-free clit suction sex toys use motorised power to deliver an undulating suction directly to the clitoris. It’s very important to note that the suction isn’t constant or one which grows in intensity. The sex toy itself is small enough to be held in the hand, they’re lightweight, and a small nub is placed over the person’s exposed clitoris. Strength and speed of the suction can be tailored to the person’s own preference. With a seal formed round the clitoris by the ‘nub’ part of the sex toy, the undulating suction provides touch-free stimulation – which, going by the rave reviews, gives the person an orgasm in the vast majority of cases*.

So what are these touch-free clit suction sex toys** and where can you get yours?

The Womanizer W100

The launch of the Womanizer W100 (£129.99) surprised the sex toy world. This new sex toy confidently promised touch-free orgasms, which seemed too good to be true. Secondly, the makers backed up those promises with a money-back guarantee for anyone (with a clitoris) who failed to orgasm from using it. I do think it’s a shame about the name, but the results (for the majority of users, at least) seemed to more than make up for using a word commonly associated with a man of questionable sexual morals.

I was also surprised that the Womanizer isn’t waterproof, but this could be overlooked for a completely new style of sex toy which does actually deliver orgasms like it promises.

The Womanizer W500

The second and most recent version of the Womanizer, the Womanizer W500 (£149.99) has a slightly different shape to the original and comes in what are (to me, at least) more appealing colourways. It also has 8 different suction speeds instead of 5 with the first version.

Aside from the increased number of suction speeds, and the more attractive colours and new shape, I didn’t find it that much different to the Womanizer W100 – and sadly, it’s still not waterproof. Saying that, those differences do still make the Womanizer W500 the more appealing of the two to purchase, if only so you’ve got the latest version available.

The Conquest by Shots Toys

Although I haven’t written a review for The Conquest by Shots Toys (€74.88), I have used one to try and reach orgasm. I say try, because The Conquest seems to suck in every way apart from the one you really need it to.

A sex toys shop who were unsure about stocking The Conquest by Shots Toys asked me to give it a go and let them know yay or nay. My opinion is that this really is a very poor imitation of The Womanizer and is best avoided by shops and sex toy fans alike***. I think the build quality is absolutely terrible and there’s no power behind the suction – which doesn’t fit comfortably or well over my clitoris anyway because the cap is flat and flimsy.

The Satisfyer Pro 2

The newest addition to the clit suction sex toys aisle is The Satisfyer Pro 2 (£69.99). This suction sex toy is making waves at adult product trade shows and with sex toy testers alike.

Sex toy reviewer Emmeline Peaches prefers The Satisfyer Pro 2 to either of the Womanizer sex toys:

“The moment I placed the Satisfyer Pro 2 on my clit was the moment that the contest was over. The Satisfyer Pro 2 officially beat my Womanizer & Womanizer W500…”

Although sex toy tester Scandarella didn’t find it perfect, The Satisfyer Pro 2 still did the job:

“Just skimming a ring of lube around the opening on the head and holding it against my clit on the first setting is enough to get me wanting to wriggle, but I fight myself and remain still. By the time I’ve clicked to the third or fourth intensity, I’m cumming, and it’s not a shallow, unsatisfying climax. Every orgasm I’ve had from this toy has been strong…”

Reviewers for Lovehoney are equally impressed with The Satisfyer Pro 2, with over 80% of reviewers rating it a full 5 out of 5 stars.

I’m really excited to try out & fully test my own Satisfyer Pro 2 which I’m reviewing here at CaraSutra for Bondara next month (July 2016).

Update July 2016: Read my Satisfyer Pro 2 review here.

What’s different about The Satisfyer Pro 2 then, you might (understandably) ask? Well, it’s pretty much the Womanizer with a few important changes that Womanizer missed with their second version. The Satisfyer Pro 2 is completely waterproof, and quieter during use too.

To me, the most appealing of these clit suction sex toys has to be the Satisfyer Pro 2. With its promised quiet operation and being completely waterproof, it wins the battle of touch-free clit suction sex toys – even up against the still new but undeniably mighty Womanizer. It’s going to be interesting to see if this sex toy trend continues, and I’m intrigued about the next direction for these touch-free stimulators. A penis masturbator, perhaps?
