“Women can only orgasm with penis shaped vibrators”

realistic vibeAll women’s vibrators should look like a penis, because that’s the point of them.

That’s the strange view that was brought to my attention on Twitter yesterday, triggering a consequential raging debate. Should vibrators look like penis? Do they need to resemble a man’s genitalia in order to work?

What’s your opinion?

I say that this is a highly deluded statement, to say the least. An entire market for other sex toys  is quite obviously out there, thanks to changing society views and a positive attitude to a range of genders and sexualities. Women are demanding more than merely ‘realistic penis vibrators’ to act as a replacement for a real man.

Perhaps 40, 50 years ago, yes, women were regarded as ‘needing’ a man’s cock in order to enjoy sexual activity. Now? Not so much. Not at all, in fact. When I want sex with a penis, I have that. When I want a sex toy, I have a range of those, too.

It’s called being sexually liberated.

Should a woman wish to reproduce, then yes, a penis has traditionally, by our physiological make up, been required in order for this to happen. Now even sexual intercourse isn’t necessary in order to make a baby. None of this even touches upon the pleasure of a woman.

Getting down to basics, a woman has a recess and a man has a shape which fits into it. That doesn’t mean that she will always choose him and his penis to fill her space.

In fact, how many women reading this orgasm through penetration or penetrative sex alone? It won’t be many, I can assure you. Countless studies into sexuality have conclusively proven that the majority of women require clitoral stimulation in order to orgasm.

Could this possibly have anything to do with the large number of non-phallic yet powerful vibrators available on the market today? Of course it does. Supply and demand at its finest.

The uneducated and blinkered view that women’s vibrators should and need to resemble a penis completely ignores the fact that lesbians use vibrators, in an arrogant and dismissive, disrespectful way, too. Or would the people holding this opinion argue that lesbians just need to ‘find the right cock’? I haven’t met many lesbians who haven’t heard the tired old pulling line, “I’m sure a night with me would change yer mind, love.”

Stating that a woman needs a penis (or penis shaped something) in order to be sexually fulfilled is like saying people only buy the Hitachi wand for back massages. Wake up and smell the clitoral friction, people.

Women don’t even need a penis in order to have a baby, and women certainly do not need a penis in order to orgasm. Women do masturbate and use a variety of shapes in order to do so, some internally, some externally.

If you want to use the cherry of a cupcake vibrator to frig your clitoris to bliss, enjoy it guilt free. There’s not a thing any penis in the entire world can do about it.

Err, perhaps by the same sort of men that thought (I’m don’t think that is the right word here, that is what they “thought” they were doing) that clitorises didn’t exist, or the famous doctor who thought (that word again) that they peed through them.
Hey even as a bloke I find it unbelievable how self centred some men are.
The Lelo advert next to where I’m typing is a great example. I can testify as to how stimulating it appears to be, how strong the orgasms it seems to be able to help engender. Even when a penis isn’t anywhere involved and yet is completely unlike a penis in any way.
